The rest of their schedule is pretty cupcake so they should be able to roll. And the ACC championship game will be against another weak opponent. At Louisville on a thursday night is the only remaining game where you think they could slip up. If they lose any of the others it would be a real surprise.
And even if they did lose a game, as long as it isnt in the ACC championship game, I still think they are basically a lock of making the playoff. The only concern would be is if the playoff committee would look at the schedule and deem it not good enough. A one loss SEC champ would have played a tougher schedule. A one loss Pac12 champ(Oregon or Arizona St) would obviously have a better schedule. But would a one loss Ohio St or Michigan St? No way. Michigan St at least has the Oregon game but Ohio St's schedule is awful. A one loss Baylor/TCU/K-State? Maybe Kansas St... the conference schedule is more difficult and Auburn non-conference is tough. And obviously the committee wouldnt choose a one loss Notre Dame over FSU based on the Noles win last night. The SEC is the only conference that could sneak two teams in but I doubt the committee would pick a one loss non-SEC champ over a one loss FSU conference champ.
FSU is basically a lock now... even with a loss... unless that loss is in the ACC championship game. But who will they play in that game? Duke? Virginia? Game will be over at halftime.
Nothing is clinched yet. Nothing.
FSU is just one JW screw up away from derailment.
Most likely clinched. I'd love to see them play one of the Mississippi schools. They will get absolutely shredded.

So true its scary and I bet everyone in that program knows it.

Keep in mind he still might be suspended this year. The autograph thing and the private hearing are still pending
Well yea... barring Winston pulling another Winston. But assuming he can stay out of any serious trouble. And assuming FSU can do what they can to keep him eligible through January.
The only real caveat to what I said above, I suppose is that it does depend on how FSU looks down the stretch. Lets assume their one loss is to UVA or BC. And they dont look all that great against Miami or against Florida heaven forbid. Or they struggle in the ACC championship game against whichever weak opponent they play. And then you get a team like Ohio St who is really starting to roll. Would the committee choose a one loss team like Ohio St who is getting hot at the right time vs a one loss FSU team who has had to find a way to win against every team they've played with a pulse?

It will be after the season...suspended for baseball again......what a freaking joke that school is!!

There is nothing to the autograph thing. FSU found no proof of him taking money.

FSU has been so good about making sure their investigations were done properly too.
Is it actually case closed on that? or is that you speculating? gurley got busted for the same exact thing and i read that there were upwards of one thousand signed items from winston. sounds like a case of where there is smoke there is fire.

You mad sis?

FSU jumped on this the minute they heard the report broke that this guy had hundreds of Winston signatures. The AD released a statement Friday saying no evidence was found that he took cash.

so that's it or will there be an NCAA probe?

If FSU found no evidence of him taking cash, then probably not.
I know, FSU covered that up too.
Until they lose to the Gators in the last week!

A&M never had evidence Manziel took cash and the NCAA, not A&M, suspended Manziel for a half. UGA hasnt found evidence either other than some guy claiming he paid Gurley, even though no pictures or proof exists.
I think we all know that Manziel, Gurley, and Winston took cash though. Nobody does all those signatures without getting paid.

Sis ,,,yet another web site tough guy......
I would love for other teams to stop saying we are going to be in a good game.

Highly doubt that.
FSU is damn good and have athletes that are on par or better than any SEC school. They are also well coached and make great halftime adjustments.
FSU would beat both Mississippi schools, and I think they'll get a chance later this year.

I don't know, JW just might be dumb enough to sign all those autographs for nothing.
He's not a very bright kid off the football field.
I just don't think he's smart enough to be able to hide getting paid for signing autographs.

He didn't need to take money. His family is already loaded.
