But still... without LBs able to cover TEs and questionable pass rush, not sure how much impact just one more guy can make.  Secondary is still making critical mistakes all around.  But I suppose adding a piece to Cyprien is better than adding nothing.

 

If no setbacks, we may see him in London against the Cowboys.

It only counts as a sack if the quarterback is still holding the ball. Unfortunately Whitehurst got rid of it.

Scobee has cost us a couple of games with his shanks and blocked kicks. Nobody says nothing about him but the Eagles and Titans games were heavily influenced by him not doing his one of two jobs he has. He's washed get another one. We've gotten all the juice outta that can.

I hope they take it easy on Colvin the rest of this year, with the idea of him being a starter/ difference maker in 2015. 

 

 

I don't want us rushing him and causing any setbacks that take up his offseason again.

We tried playing aggressively and not dumbing it down. It resulted in numerous blown coverages and big-plays. NOw that we are playing bend/don't break, the mistakes are becoming fewer. If you don't have the players to run this aggressive Seattle scheme, then don't run it!

 

As I've mentioned several times....this scheme was a product of the players that the Seahawks had. They looked at who they had (some undersized pass rushers, big physical corners and SS, and a FS with ridiculous range). Then they decided to play the way they play.

 

Not the other way around.

All this means is our coach/staff has a "we control our own destiny" mentality.

 

I simply can't agree on the kick.  Low or not, they made a clutch play.  It's not like burned it into the long snappers rear or drove it into someone's helmet or chest.

I forgot about that and yeah you're right - His 2 missed FG's/ blocks in the Eagles game were likely momentum shifters.

This I will agree with. There was so many people championing Gratz it was ridiculous. I was one of the only ones saying he sucked. 

 


If anything McCray was influenced by Bradley. He was the prototype "Seahawks" CB.

Im still interested to learn how Gratz was an obvious Bradley pick.

If the trajectory of the kick was low, then you could have blocked it. You credit the opponent when they make an extraordinary play, not an ordinary one....

Actually no, what was said by me was very general in nature. I don't want the guy rushed back as he's coming off a major injury.

You'll see when he's called upon in a clutch winning situation and shanks another one. He's shaky at these 50 plus yarders now and thats not good considering we cant already score. I just don't think he's good anymore. He doesnt get touchbacks like he used to either. Nobody last forever.

I don't even know how Scobee is being critiqued here. Maybe his kick is low (it probably was), but that rusher came in untouched (and the guy closest to him wasn't blocking anyone). If that guy gets even a hand to slow down the defender by just a tad, Scobee's kick is on its way.

Scobee is currently 12/17 from 50+ over the past 5 seasons (counting this one) for 70 1/2 percent. Adam Vinatieri is 10/17 at 58.8 percent. Stephen Gostkowski is 9/12 for 75 percent. Scobee is fine. His TB and return average are also among the league average.

Shaky based on what exactly?

Of all the issues and problems this team has...Scobee is not one of them.  

You guys need to lay off the criticism on Scobee. His offensive line was terrible on that play. What if he had better protection in front of him?
