Quote:You're late to the party....I said after the game in posts that it appeared that they didn't shackle Bortles this past game like they had done in the 6 quarters prior. They let Bortles be Bortles more this past game. They must have read my posts.
Why don't you post that we should score more TDs and make yourself useful!

Please tell me you are joking about them reading your posts...

Doubt it. He's sick.

He's not joking. His "bat phone" hotline has been down, so he instructed the coaching staff to read his posts here.
Quote:Its nice to read and all but at this point, Its kinda obvious so it loses its thrill.
This was what I felt too. Good to see that others outside of Jacksonville are taking notice. The dude is going to take this league by storm if we can get a few things straightened out.

Once he can start stringing multiple TD games together, he's there.
His tiny passing TD total is Bortles only blemish, really.
I don't think coaches ever told Bortles to not be himself. Sometimes he needs to take what the defense gives him and that means screen passes.

The touchdowns will come when his teammates help him out. He can't get to the red zone by himself.

So in essence, all of your spazzing was for nothing.
Shocker.

No it wasn't for nothing. It pointed out bad coaching. Bortles is a race car. And they were putting an artificial 55 mph governor on him the previous 6 quarters before Sunday.

Yeah. Wheeeeew. Six whole quarters.
By the way. Did you notice that Bortles has a better YPA than the great Chip Kelly's QB. I guess Kelly should read your posts too.

And you should as well.....I've never been a Nick Foles fan.
3TD's for Bortles.....#Believeinbortles
Quote:One thing negatively about Bortles that I've noticed in recent games especially this last week is his mechanics have regressed again. He still produced, so it might not be all that big of a deal, but his mechanics were all over the place particularly on his throws on rollouts/ on the run.
He is being Fisch'ed to death

I've noticed this as well, not really on the run but on certain throws. It's a minor gripe at this point I suppose.
Well duh
Bortles good, surrounding cast bad.

So wait?
It's the coaching in Bortles' case....and the player in Foles' case?
This is all very confusing to keep track of....

I think that stems in large part from the lack of a running attack. When we get in the red zone, and the field is compressed, coverage is a lot easier if the defense isn't worried about our running game.
