Really the only negative I see is luke and I think the injury really hurt his development.
If we keep drafting players like this especially in later rounds we might have something here. Only problem is we are really young and we lack star power still. Lock down corner, deep threat wideout to stretch the field. And a cornerstone on the o line.
I don't know how long it will take to do this through the draft alone. But it seems to me we have to have a higher success rate with some of our free agents. That or we really need to draft a difference maker or two in the early rounds, to compliment bortles. A big tall wr,or Justin Blackmon would be huge for this team right now IMO. To bad he is such a pot head.
Gratz was not a good late round pick.
I will agree that I think Caldwell has done a decent job overall in drafting.

Customers complain when the product is trash. You do know this is a business that goes out to the communities and try to get people to spend money on that trash product? Ok so being realistic here we go, our record says we suck, and we are only as good as our record says we are, now dipping a little deeper than that, we have our QB of the future and I do believe that our receivers will grow into the crazy bunch of highlights that we've all hoped for, our LB core needs a revamp for sure, but here is where I probably differ from most, yes we have gutted our whole team but the truth is the starters we trotted out in years past would barely be back ups on other rosters so then our back ups were barely NFL caliber depth becomes a huge issue, so now realistically we have to not only find quality starters but find back ups that are worth something, many players now on the roster may just be place holders until we find solid starters, so Jags fans it may seem bleak now but I promise the sun will come out tomorrow, or at least before Jeff Fisher has a sniff at another Super Bowl

Possibly. But I have so much faith in Bortles he will be able to overcome a lot of incompetence going forward. We only need to get slightly better around him

No, according to him it only counts as a rebuild if the new GM decides to cut the previous regimes best veterans. If there are still good players left over, it doesn't count as a rebuild until the whole thing is burned to the ground.

My beef is people feel entitled to a winning team every year. I understand sports. Sometimes teams suck for a long time then get good then suck again. Believe it or not we were good at one point. Now its our time to be bad and this may have to happen for a bit longer. I need to realize some people don't have much experience understanding the game just because they haven't watched that much ball. Or they get tired of people talking trash about their team. The Saints used to suck and the Lakers do suck. It just sports and thats just what happens. When did we ever think teams like the Saints, Seahawaks and Bengals would be good and team like Pittsburgh and the Atlanta would struggle now. This is happening over time. It will be our time again. I hope

You of all people should know what a rebuild is. You know good and well what Gene Smith did was not a rebuild. I'll give you shack but it was not to this level. The people running the team may have used those terms but you and I know those were not rebuilds.
would be easier to BE PATIENT is we could win 1 or 2 freaking games... I'm tired of the rebuild, re-boot, wait, it'll get better, be patient.. etc

Unfortunately, I actually believe this.
It's unfortunate because I like Gus and want him to succeed here, but so far in his head coaching career, he has been disappointing, imo.
