Quote:I'm glad that I was wrong about Brooklyn not winning even 2 games in the playoffs.   Even in the two games in Atlanta,  the Nets were very competitive.   This is turning out to be one of the best 1st Round series.

I know Atlanta is the #1 seed in the East, but I just don't see them as legitimate NBA title contenders.

This is the first time I have thought that about a #1 seed.

They really should beat the Nets though, and should get past the Wizards in the next rd.

That should be considered a really good season for the Hawks, much better then what they expected going into the season.
I always thought it would be cool if the highest seed got to pick their opponent .....

example:

#1 Atlanta does like the Nets matchup so they select #7Boston

#2 Cleveland doesn't like the Nets matchup so they select #6Milwaukee

#3 Bulls select #4 Raptors

#5 Wizards get the #8Nets.

Each round you go through the same process.....

2 full weeks later and the 1st round isn't over yet.

Go back to best of 5 in the 1st rd NBA.

Amen and amen. They took away some of the most thrilling basketball of the year when they went to all seven game series.
It looks like the Bulls are tired of playing the Bucks and are ready to play the Cavs.

Minus LA-SA, the first round was a disaster. Terrible.

FINALLY, tonight is the end of the first round of the NBA playoffs.

On to round 2.

Down go the Spurs

At least it was in dramatic fashion, unlike most of the other teams which lost.

Finally we are on to round 2.
Hawks, smh.

Agree.
I am really looking forward to this Cavs/Bulls 2nd round matchup.

The Bulls don't like the Cavs and LeBron will have to step up even more with JR Smith missing 2 games and Love out for the rest of the season.

The Cavs need to be careful because this is a good game for the Bulls to steal on the road.

If the enforcer comes off the bench for the Cavs, and he could, watch out.
This 2nd round is already way more interesting then the first round ever was, except for Spurs/Clippers.

Every team has already lost at home, which makes for great playoffs.

The first round, minus one series, was flat out awful. Unwatchable.
A buzzer beater Friday night and another one on Sat, in what was a blowout game at one point. Good stuff!!!!!!!!

Keep it up NBA, this is exciting to watch for NBA fans.
Noel robbed of Rookie of the Year
I love basketball, I really do. But the NBA officiating is horrific.

I often see NFL officials criticized but the NBA is worse I'm my opinion. It makes ot difficult to watch and stay interested for me sometimes.
Just need LeBron to win one more game so Chicago can fire Tom Thibodeau so Orlando can hire him.

If it's between Orlando and New Orleans, Orlando is very much the underdog to get him.

New Orleans is already a playoff team and they have a really good young player in Anthony Davis to build around.

Good Luck Orlando, you will need it. Maybe you can offer him a lot more money then New Orleans.
