Well vs steelers
We were competitive if not dominant at times.
We were always in the game not blown out.
The defense played better
The offensive line played better.
The offense drove down the field not many 3 and outs, resting the defense.
Bortels slung the ball around (the pick 6 hurt) but is only his second start hes not manning or brady yet.
The fact that we only lost by one score instead 4 or 5 is improvement. the next game maybe we tie or win.

it sucks to lose but i can see the improvement and will not call for players or coaches head until the season has played out.

You're absolutely right that if we were 5-0 I would want whoever is making the decision to play, and give reps to Gerhart, to be fired immediately. No questions asked. The guy is COMPLETE garbage, get him the [BLEEP] off the field and fire whoever is involved in keeping him on it right now.
As far as the game as a whole, this is more like what I wanted to see, close game but still lose. Not getting blown out is nice.

This is all on the GM who decided to sign this clown and overpay him. I'm pretty sure he got the biggest RB contract of anyone in the offseason. Could have had Moreno or Ben Tate, but we got this piece of trash.
Could be the play calling and run blocking scheme too, but still.

Complaining that we're 0-5 isn't the problem. The problem is those who complain say things like "I'd like to see us be competitive" and then when we are, they complain about that too.
Also the fact that people here somwhow expected Bradley to have the same immediate success with our trash roster as Reid has had.
The majority of fans, players, and even media see that we are making some moves in the right direction. Yeah there are misses, but you can't reasonably expect Caldwell to hit a home run with every signing.
This is getting a little out of hand.
The team is 0-5 and has the worst offense and defense in the league. We are an embarassment. If anything, people are not complaining enough.

I disagree winning heals all, sure you would still find people upset about something but not to this level. The complaining is due to being losers, and I understand that.
Its going to happen when you get blown out every week by almost 40 points a game.
Gus never shouldve let Chad start the season after seeing how bad he was compared to Bortles during the preseason..
among other things like sticking with Slowby after his giant disappointment..
I feel the losses have more to do with Gus... I hope he gets it together..
The Title was a sarcastic over exaggeration of how this board would complain even if we were wining games. Im just tired of post saying "would be happy if we are not blown and were competitive" and then when we are they still complain. Several other post have stated same thing. And yes complaining about complaining :teehee:

The defense played OK but the refs helped some and the Steelers didn't play great
The O-Line didn't play all that much better
Dont know about you but i felt like we had a real chance if we could get a suprise big play from hurns or robinson.
We were in the game from start to finish. With a full receiving core (blackmon mostly) i think we win that game. Heck marcedes would have been huge in such a close game too.

People hate on him. But if Marcedes was healthy this offense would absolutely function much better.
