Quote:To me, a win would mean we suck less than last week.

We really did not suck as much at San Diego as you think. The first half was not terrible until Jedd Fisch ruined the last minute.

I would say teams will respect us more when they see we can beat the Steelers.

I hope we win, I really do. But I think the Squeelers are going to play with a vengance in attempt to redeem themselves for their loss last week. We may win the first half battle, but we seem to have issues finishing strong.

Just imagine how many games we could win if we were able to play all 60 minutes!
Quote:Henne actually was 1-0 as a starter here at one time.  Granted, he played most of the Texans game, at which point he'd be 1-1, and he played most of the Raiders game as well, where he'd be 1-2.  But Gabbert lost to the Texans before we beat the Colts.

That's a pretty good memory you have there Eleventh Doctor.

Henne did win his first start as QB against the Titans on 11/25/2012.

He played most of the games at the Raiders and Texans, but Gabbert started both those games and got injured.

They lost both of those games.

Henne ended up losing every start after that until he finally won again, nearly a year later, against the Titans, on 11/10/2013, some 13 games later.

So I guess Henne did actually have a winning record at one time as the Jags starting QB, on the way to his 5-17 overall starting QB record with the Jags.
It would mean that I'd get a reprieve, at least for a week, from my wife berating me for buying 2 extra seasons tickets a year ago on the expectation that "next year", things will be different!!

Well then by all means, let's win one for the wifey on Sunday.
It would mean a hell of a lot of pride for this franchise.

For me it would mean having more faith that bujying Texans tickets is not a waste of money.
I don't think people realize how huge a game the squeelers take this week.

Clearly the only reason they lost to the Bucs was because they were looking ahead to us.  The bucs game was a trap game for them.

No doubt they have been preparing for this game against the Jaguars for at least 2 weeks...

We're gonna get their best shot.  If we survive this game and get a win, it would be a pretty big deal.

It would mean that the youngest roster in the AFC is starting to play with a little discipline.

27-20 squealers is my prediction though

There is no reason to believe just because that can happen, it was obviously the only possible reason for the loss. Teams only think about this week, not next week. This whole "trap game" idea is made up by the media and fans who don't know enough about what happened to figure it out because they are on the outside looking in.

Do you post this much on the Broncos message board too? Since you like them more than the Jags.

I never post on the Broncos message board and don't like them more than the Jags.
Quote:With Blake Bortles starting in only his second game, and the Jags being considered the preeminent of losers of the NFL, what would a win Sunday against Big Ben and the Steelers mean to you; with all of the heartache and heartbreak that we fans have endured over the last 5 years?
I will love hearing the whiners start self-soiling themselves about hurting the draft position.

I can hear it already. I know the leader of that crowd is AWOL, but there are plenty of minions who will undoubtedly start crying about this very thing.

And yet you were rooting for the Broncos last year when they played the Jags.... Hmmmmm
It means the fix is in..
People who expect a win or a bit delusional.  I just hope we can keep it within 10 points and not get blown out again

huh?

I haven't heard anyone talk about the 2015 draft and our position therein...  Am I missing something?

They haven't won a game yet.

I thought that in and of itself was fairly evident.

I don't expect a win, but I do expect to score more points against their bad defense.
