Quote:Hurns has shown me more than Lee. If you take out draft status and his "potential", Lee would be sitting behind Shorts and Sanders as far as receivers goes.

Lee hasn't been playing due to injury... of course he hasn't "shown you" anything

Ace Sanders hasn't been playing. Lee has, not to the extent that Hurns and Robinson has. But in the games that Lee played (including preseason), what did he show you?

Was it take the top off the defense speed? Nope, hasn't seen it.

Was it great short-area quickness? Eh, its good, but not elite.

Was it great hands? Hah.

Was it his excellent high-point skills? Sure, if you count trying to catch balls with his helmet.

What we've seen of Lee is the same thing we saw from him last season, not the year before when he was an electrifying player for the Trojans.
It's called the Laws of Probability

PSU - WRs stink in the NFL

UM -WRs have a better rate of success (and stardom).

While we all understand that there are cases in which the laws of probability are defied, more often then not, they are supported.

Also, check out the College Football thread that illustrates success in the NFL by state.  Just another statistic that would illustrate why Hurns has a better chance at success.  Sure, it may turn out different, but statistics don't lie.

Injuries are what you get when you sign Offensive Skill Position players from Penn State in the modern era of 1990+

You got all this from 3 games?

Never understood this. If AJ Green would have gone to Penn State, he'd be a bust in today's league? Different coaches with coaching philosophical approaches and different players have come and gone to Penn State. Bill O'Brien's and James Franklin's recruits will be different than Joe Pa's kids. It's like saying we should blame Caldwell for the last 10 years of drafting when in reality here's only had 2 drafts. The program changed with the coaching staff change.

Been a while since a good WR has come out of UM.

Guess we should probably stay away from QBs from the AAC too.
I genuinely want to know what Lee has done to make people think he's been better than Hurns so far. Go ahead. I'll wait.

Yes, and it mirrors what he did all season long at USC.

Well he did win the Fred Belitnikoff award two years ago....
Quote:ok, you're entitled to an opinion.  but 4 weeks of a season doesn't tell the whole story
It's not an opinion it's a fact dunce. He's the best and most accomplished rookie receiver on the team. Your dumb opinions means nothing in the face of facts. He leads all rookies in yards and was first in the league in yards per reception last week. He's now second in that category. So your whole argument is quite ignorant right now. Don't know why people are wasting time arguing with a fool.

FACT:  We are 4 weeks into the season

Quote:FACT: We are 4 weeks into the season
Your point? 4 weeks into the season he's the best. That's a quarter of a season gone and he's at the top. What don't you understand about that? You're arguing he isn't when he is.
Hurns is our best WR
This thread confuses me.  It's like we can't have nice things around here.  We start to see that we have have found a productive WR, who has a lot of promise, as an undrafted rookie and all people want to talk about is how he's not good because of one reason or another.  This is why we can't have nice things.

Yes, if AJ Green would have gone to PSU he would have gotten caught up in the JoePa mentality and lost his skills over the 4 year period or become soft.  UM wideouts gain swagger in college.

Yes, stay away from ACC QBs.   I think you all are catching on because I'm starting to see some very good responses.  Remember, UM was not in the ACC when they had great QBs.  Right after they joined the ACC, their QB crop went into the trash. Look at Virginia Tech  .... non-ACC = Mike Vick    enter ACC and you get bad QBs.     Pitt= Dan Marino  Enter ACC and you get Tom Savage.    Louisville= Bridgewater  Enter ACC Will Garner who just got hurt.
