Life in the rear view mirror....forget about it we all have who we have.

Which is the entire problem!
It's interesting they focused on not only draft slot but what teams should have drafted instead of as well. They had us taking CJ Mosley. Uhh no I like it the original way. It almost makes me think they are upset we knocked that one out of the park.

Yeah. It's nice to have some draft picks on the team that I feel certain were "hits."    Finally.

At least we got it right. It's been almost never that we even get Rd 1 correct. Relief..
I'm so glad Dave and Gus cut through all the media hype of Teddy and Johnny and came up with a solid

pick that can play for the Jags for a long time.

a lot of people went HUH?....but now we know they were right.
Wow, do over draft or not, I think it's pretty impressive that the Jags actually have a player that is deemed worthy of the No 1 over all pick.

Smile and enjoy the article because that may never ever happen again.

Teddy looked pretty good to me. But I'm happy we landed Bortles.

I hope of the two Bortles will have a better career.
I posted the link off Facebook and the Facebook comments had all sorts of fans talking about it.
Love that Hurns made this list and of course that apparently out guy should have gone first over all Big Grin

That's great and all, but a redraft 4 games into their rookie season is incredibly pointless.

Maybe so, but there have been so few positives around here, it's nice to see an article noting a couple of Jags rookies in a positive light.
Houston has someone that goes by the name of JJ Watt? Clowney was overkill, I'd be upset if Houston took Bortles. Clowney, not so much
Bortles was the consensus #1 pick through at least part of the offseason and his stellar Pro Day should have cemented him as a possible #1.  I thought it was strange that the top teams were not talking about him at all.  It was like a lot of teams were hoping he fell to them.  I believe Cleveland would have taken him at #4, but we'll never know.

I always felt that Houston outsmarted themselves by listening to the Clowney hype.  They needed a QB, though it's hard to fault a 3-1 team.  We'll see how they end up.  I think Bortles is a rare talent and Houston will soon regret passing him up.

I don't think anyone doubted that Teddy it could play.  The question is his longevity because of his build.  He's got hurt in his first game so its a legitimate question.  Time will tell.

It really is scary to think that the Texans almost drafted Bortles. They were sold on him too they just didn't pull the trigger.

Now they may win to many games to not be in position to draft a top guy next year with out giving up a kings ransom. Lol I love it.
A major break the Jaguars took advantage of is the St. Louis Rams basically publicly taking themselves out of the 1st Round QB mix in the 2014 Draft.  If the Rams would have kept the Blake Bortles option at pick # 2 as a realistic possibility,   the Jaguars could easily have traded up to select Bortles.   Knowing how highly the Jaguars rated Bortles,  the Rams might have received a good trade package to move down to pick # 3.

If the rams wanted Bortles at 2 why would they trade with the jags? If anything it would make the Jags trade up to number 1. I have never understood this theory

The Rams clearly didn't want Blake Bortles at # 2.  But in essence they expressed that to the world which was a mistake on their part.   The Rams should have created the illusion that drafting a QB with pick # 2 was a realistic possibility.
