Quote:Steelers just lost to the winless Bucs.  They will be extremely focused this week.
what he said...
Quote:Well up front don't you guys have some good dline? The secondary is what scares me but if you can get pressure on Big Ben than he'll make some errant throws.

Antonio Brown could be a problem. I think he is much better than Keenan Allen so the secondary must be ready to play. I think getting out to an early lead and forcing Ben to pass is the best bet. I've noticed Ben holds on to the ball a lot and is not as quick releasing the ball this year. If we can take that run out of the game early I like the Jaguars chances.

Yes, we do have a good defensive line. But how good is Pittsburgh's offensive line? Obviously it is better than ours.

Allen got open so much Sunday because of our emphasis on shutting down Antonio Gates. So my concern is if we try to shut down Brown, Heath Miller will burn us.

We jumped out to a 17-0 halftime lead in Philadelphia. After that they scored 34 unanswered points. So unfortunately no lead is big enough except maybe 5 touchdowns.

No way are we taking out the run game. Leveon Bell is one of the best running backs right now. But I think it will be easier to stop him than Brown.
I read today the Steelers invited officials to practice because they are one of the most penalized teams in the NFL.

It will be interesting to see how well that works out.

Yeah Mike Tomlin was livid after that Bucs game with the penalties on the Steelers. Look for them to play a much better disciplined football game this time around. Should be a good matchup.

He should be. An average team like the Steelers can't afford to move early or hold somebody on every drive.
From a Steelers message board:

After last week, and considering our history with the Jags, I _STILL_ can't be overly confident with an easy win. This damn team just makes most every game like pulling teeth.

another game that should be a 20 pint win will be a coin toss

If Jax spreads out their offense, look for Bortles to have a big game.

I thought this would be our trap game. I think we win by 10, but I also think it's going to be a high scoring game and Bortles will have a good second half. I have no faith in this D.

Bortles will shred us, so we will have to outscore them. Good news is their defense sucks as well, so stack your fantasy lineups on this game.

Nice to see some people don't think the Steelers will blow us out. They already respect the rookie who played only a game and a half.

Why is it obvious ? It seems to me that Pittsburgh OL is very bad

We really didn't focus particularly on Gates, SD used cover 3 beaters and Keenan Allen is just very good and better than Gates at their point in their careers.

Henne 3 consecutive 3&outs might have something to do with it.

Maurkice Pouncey is a Pro Bowler. They did not have to cut Marcus Gilbert.

Then why did I read somewhere the reason Keenan Allen got wide open was the heavy focus on shutting down Gates?

So can the fact that the Eagles are a good team. The Steelers can catch up to us in the second half too.

I watched their game against the Bucs and having officials tell them not to yank a facemask isn't going to help them.  It's pretty obvious what they're getting penalized for.
Oh, and Pittsburgh sucks!

I hope we score 40 on Pittsburgh... I need some TD's to make me feel better about home games... i'm tired of getting waxed at the bank and having to walk down those ramp looking like a loser in my teal shirt.

....maybe it's not the shirt.

Forty points is very unlikely, but we should have no problem scoring touchdowns because their defense sucks. I don't like anybody getting hurt but without Ryan Shazier, their defense sucks.
