Last year our biggest problem was injuries, so Will Muschamp got a pass. This year he will be evaluated after the season is over.

Stop saying "our." You're a fan of 14 different teams. You can't use that terminology.

It was one of those rivalry games but they looked good against UGA in Athens. I'm not one of those "I hate UM and UF" FSU people...I always pull for FL teams when they don't play FSU. Hopefully Driskel and Muschamp can turn it around.

I'm gonna have to ask you to turn in your FSU fan card then.

ya UT has this one in the bag unless Florida benches Driskel

For all the talk about how bad Driskel is, I blame the OC for not calling plays to Driskel's strengths. The dude is big and fast but cant throw consistently. He doesnt need to be in an offense where he drops back to pass 43 times! like he did against Kentucky. Thats insane. Why not just install a flat out pro style west coast forcing him to drop back under center and throw precise timing routes to WRs who are tightly covered. Lets see how that works out for him.
They need a lot more QB designed runs, options for him to run, bootleg run/pass options, etc.... Make your offense fit the talent of your players. Dont try to fit round players into square peg playcalls.

Driskel is just clueless at how to run a read option
they have done everything they can to get the most out of him. at this point it's clear that he is part of the problem. he makes poor decisions as a passer and has no vision as a runner. that's a bad combo.

I agree. Two years ago when they won 11 games, he was a monster and they won because of him. The play calling has been atrocious.

he was a monster? he averaged 127 passing yards per game. They won because of their great defense.

If you know he isnt a good passer why make him throw 43 times a game? Oh because he is a senior and he is magically supposed to be one? Well he isnt. Whether you havent coached him up well enough or whether he isnt good enough makes no difference. It's your job as coach to fit the scheme to the talent of your players. The Gators arent doing that. And thats why all those coaches will be gone soon. Because they keep trying to make him into something he's not.

they aren't asking him to do very much. he struggles to make the routine throws and simple reads. he is just not smart enough to grasp the game at this level. I don't know how much you have watched UF, but I think it's obvious.
I actually preferred Brisset over him.
They have been trying to implement a lot of read option for him this year... but he rarely reads it right. He usually just hands it off even when the DE bites hard. A lot of big plays are left out there because he doesn't have enough sense to know when and when not to keep the ball.
They barely beat UK and should have lost with a Driskel pick 6. fortunately for Driskel the ball bounced off the CB's stomach and into his receiver's hands. The guy is just dumb. Sorry to say it. Nothing personal, but he is a horrible decision maker. That is not coaching. He just isn't good.

FL vs TN used to be one of the best games of the year in college football.
1996 Gators won the title (and beat TN 4 straight years when Manning was QB @ TN).
1998 Tennessee won the title (the year after Manning left).
There was about an 8 year period when this was one of the top games of the year. I always thought it was played too early given the magnitude of the game. Make or Break in September.
