Quote:Laugh if you want guys, but what that stats don't say is he was pretty good at finding the first down marker and catching the ball pretty consistently. and whats more disheartening to an opponent than a team moving down the field in first down chunks and eating the clock.big yard catches are cool and all but there's a place for a weapon like walters.

In one of the games, I forget which, an announcer called him the jags Wes Welker.

Use him more and I bet thats a role he'd grown into.

edit - just checked his stats - yep 231 yards for 24 catches and two touchdowns

Back in the day when they were dominating the league, the 49ers had this guy by the name of John Taylor that would play the same exact role.

He's just a guy.

In how many games actually playing WR, He didn't see the field hardly under gus.
Runs good underneath routes and has good hands. A reliable move the chains kind of guy.

Walters has solid speed, great hands and gets open. What more can you ask for?

A bit more size and ability after the catch.  (which is why Hurns is ahead of him on the depth chart)

check out his stats....only played in 10 games, look at what he did the last two games where Marrone used him more. Over half his season catches (13) and 129 yards were in the last two games.

Scrappy gym rat with deceptive speed. Coach's son
Quote:Id like to see. Hate Robinson all you want but if the ball is over thrown or under thrown 9 out of 10 times to him what do you expect. He probably save 10 INTs this season breaking up bad throws.

WR1 - Robinson

WR2 - Lee

WR3 - Hurns

WR4 - Walters

WR5 - Green

I cannot confirm, but sounds legit.

This is true. If he can catch in key situations.

He gets open which is more than can be said about ARob, Hurns and Lee most of the time. I'd hate to see him go but understand if he does.

Eli Rogers has 594 yards on 49 receptions this year.

Who is Eli Rogers?  24 Year Old (2nd year) WR from Louisville via Miami Northwestern HS.  He played with T. Bridgewater in HS and College.

These slot WRs are a dime a dozen and can be found anywhere.

Walters is a 29 year old WR that has 683 yards in his career
