Answer - EXPERIENCE

Experience in three and outs!

Experience in check downs!

Experience in over or under throwing on long passes!

Experience in poor passing on the run!

Experience in locking on receivers and getting the ball blocked at the line of scrimmage!

Experience in Throwing more interceptions then touchdowns!

Experience in field goals in the red zone!

Experience in constant poor quarterback ratings!

Please some one explain why Henne's experience gives us a better chance of winning?

Yawn
Hot takes
He wears #7...if you score a TD and extra point. You get 7 points. His career QB rating starts with 7. It's his 7th year in the nfl

I didn't realize there actually was an answer.

.Thanks!
Given that you've either been unable or unwilling to read the answer all the times it's been given before, what makes us think it's worth telling you again?

A message board poster who thinks he's smarter than the coaching staff. Gee, that's unusual.

^ this ^

Maybe if we get another 20 threads on the subject, then the answer will be more clear.
I feel confident that Bortles will start this season at some point. Unless Henne plays lights out.

CH starts because Coach Bradley says he's the starting QB  for the Jags.

No round table needed.

Trying to figure out the round table part.
Wow.  A new and insightful topic.  We've never seen this discussed before.

How many hours untill kick off?

Of course, this topic will not stop until Bortles starts...  Oh well, we can still talk about jersey colors, the number a WR wears, and other pressing matters until then.   :teehee:

At this point in the conversation I really don't know why he's starting.  IMO there doesn't seem to be any reason that's glaring enough for it.

Oline?  Bortles is much more mobile that Henne, has good pocket presence, and will have Toby to hand off to.  Doesn't really matter.

Inexperienced WR's?  Wasn't an issue for Bortles in the preseason at all and he actually looks like he established a rapport with Hurns and Mike Brown.

Playbook?  He checked into and out of plays without any issues and was reading coverages well enough.  He won't learn that on the bench anyways.

Tough matchup?  Philly is actually a good team for him to match up against.  They were almost unstoppable on offense last year, but not so much on defense and they didn't really do much in the offseason to get better on that side of the ball..

Getting hit?  He got hit a couple times in preseason and it didn't rattle him.  Why would that change now?

There seriously is no reason you can point to as a definitive reason to sit Bortles with how he has looked so far this preseason.  That's all I have to say about that.

Because we need to see Chad take a giant dump in a regular season game first before putting BB in since the coaches and GM are sticking to this narrative.  Helen Keller could see Blake has played better and moved this offense down the field more effectively.  Blake is progressing faster than they expected and the race for maturity has been won already.  Experience is the best teacher.  He needs reps. I have no confidence in Henne's ability to win tomorrow.  And if by some miracle he does, history tells me he has never strung together three decent games in a row.  Any joy will be short lived.  Years of being a Jags fan has made me a realist with tempered expectations.  Henne is what he is.  He was not/is not/will never be a marginally acceptable QB.  Philly has a bad defense.  But do any of these Henne backers really think we can get into a shooting match with Philly with Hanging Chad and come out on top?  His completion percentage past 10 yards drops like a cliff.  I won't wish for him to be injured or to play poorly (though I fully expect it).  I will instead pray for reason.  Blake needs to start sooner than later.

I think Bortles could handle baptism by fire, and I'd rather he make rookie mistakes this year than next.  Leftwich and Gabbert didn't fail because they got thrown to the wolves they failed because they weren't good quarterbacks.  Play Bortles.  I'm sure this has been said a lot, I just haven't been around for several months.
