Quote:I think Bowanko & Linder both need to be starting together ASAP. They are the future, and would rather have those 2 take their lumps now and start to gel together, PRIOR to Bortles insertion into the lineup.
Couldn't agree more with this statement.  On the Bortles front, our brain trust really appears to know what they are doing.  The media thinks they're idiots, which makes me even more comfortable with their thinking.
Quote:Talking about Paztor and Harbor.

Harbor would have been nice for this game. I'm sure there would have been some extra juice for him playing his old team.
I'm high on Linder too, mostly because my homer UM fan convinced me.  I wish i could have seen more in the preseason.  Living in Cali = highlights only for me. Thank god for the regular season.  For my brethren, do sports bars open at 10 AM out here for football?

I remember reading/ hearing something prior to the draft about Linder being seen as better by coaches who were interviewed leading up to the draft than his general ranking in most mock drafts.

My buddy said he was one of his favorite player at the U.  Super hard working and all around good guy.

I have more confidence in Linder at RG than I do McClendon at C.

Without a shadow of a doubt!

Egads...

Not sure how smart a decision that is.

He has questionable hands as it is at WR...

Dropping a pass is one thing, dropping a punt is a turnover.

Wasn't one of the DB's pretty good in punt returns last year when Ace wasn't doing it?

Will Blackmon was OK but dropped one.  Brown fielded about 5 or 6 punts during preseason and looked capable doing so. No big returns - but he ought to be able to hold the fort till Ace is back.

W Blackmon? I think they should try shoelace out there.

Can't wait for Ace to come back. He's electric on those returns.

Not a surprise. The Eagles usually wear white at home in early September home openers.

Not sure if you've ever played football before. But fielding punts and catching passes are two different skillsets.

And I am not sure if "questionable hands" is a legitimate concern with Brown. I only recall one drop against Tampa. But he did redeem himself with a few tough catches.

But again, two different jobs.

I think you face similar issues with Robinson returning punts as Mike Brown.

Wow, no kidding?????

Still, Mike Brown's rep doesn't leave you with the most confidence back there,

But its only for 4 games, so all we can do is hope theres no mistakes.

What rep? One dropped pass aganst Tampa? I'm not following what you mean by his rep.
