And it's been shown to you time and time again multiple logical and common sense reasons why that's the case but you still want to stick to your superstition.  Which is fine, that's your choice.  But that doesn't mean we can't think it's crazy.

Your only guarantee is that anyone wearing numbers in the teens will suck.  You can't say the same thing about the receivers in the 80's because we've had 2 who were successful.  That really makes your point.  Awesome.

Shorts has an established track record even if that includes an injury history. Hurns has looked terrific but he hasn't played a single down of regular season NFL football yet. Let him earn the accolades first.
