This could be the end of the football playing line of one of the more versatile and consistent players the Jaguars had in the last 10 years:

Easily one of my favorite players of all time for the Jags
Enjoy retirement Greg jones you deserve it!
Yes what a PRO Greg was. Always working and never getting in trouble. Perfect teammate what I can tell.

Good guy who deserved some credit in making MJD as successful as he was. The guy was a block of granite
You guys ever see this video?

His position and style of play just went extinct.

He is probably as good as he ever was, it's just the NFL has evolved to where they rather have a third or fourth receiver on the field or a FB that is more of a threat in the passing game versus a good blocker.

A good guy who was able to get his while the getting was still good. He and his family should be set for life.

Sad to see his career come to an end.  He plowed the road every day while MJD got all the yards, TD's and headlines.  He did it all  with class and not a trace of ego.  Great teammate and player.

Still has some left in the tank as far as being a run blocker goes.

He had a nice ten year career. If not for the knee injuries, I think he could've been a great tailback. But he made the best of the situation and became a great fullback.

He'll enjoy retirement.

And for anybody that has seen Jones in person, the beast moniker is apt. The man is built like the Incredible Hulk.

The Jaguars should sign him so he can retire here, and heck if he still has anything in the tank he's a good blocking FB

I think eventually he will sign a one-day deal here.

I think those ceremonial "one day" contracts are nonsense.

Ok

I think a lot of what you say is nonsense, so one day contracts make sense.

Of course you do.  They really impact the team.
As long as they get the job done who cares if it's a day contract? Greg Jones has been missed since the Jags let him go. Maybe he'll come back to Duval with his family and enjoy retirement.

Pretty sure he still lives here, saw him at Costco earlier this year, and anyone that's seen him up close, knows why he's labed as "BEAST"
