It is incredibly easy to sign a kicker for a couple games, if needed.  The need at kicker would have no impact on Anger or any decision to trade him.  The short answer to "Trade Brian Anger?"....no.

no

Quote:No doubt.  He's a rock solid punter.  I'm sure he'd have no trouble landing elsewhere, but no team is going to trade for him.
I think you might be surprised. A team in the top half of the waiver order that doesn't feel great about its punting situation might tell the Jaguars to pound sand if the idea was floated, but if the Jags made it known that Anger was going to be cut and a team late in the order was in love with him, a conditional seven or their 53rd man might just be worth the trade to them. A player the Jaguars like that the team was going to cut anyway would be a no-brainer.

Still, it's a moot point. The Jaguars are not going to cut a solid punter that they've invested heavily in in the interest of potentially saving a roster spot for a couple of weeks while Scobee heals up.
When was the last time a punter was involved in a trade for any value... Ever?

You don't trade a weapon!
