Either way, I'm expecting a trade for the Rams in the next couple of days. I don't know their team inside and out, but I can't imagine they are comfortable with Shaun Hill for the whole season. Especially not with the amount of young talent they've amassed in recent years. They had to have been, and probably still are, thinking playoffs this year.
the jaguars have a better chance at the playoffs then the rams do. they will not win their division and be lucky to get 10 wins. and that's with Bradford, without him they are toast.
The fact that the Jags won 4 of their last 8 with Henne as starter last year might actually add some value to Henne in this trade scenario. Not saying they are, but the Rams could see Henne as a better chance to win than Hill. Has Hill ever started a full season/ full time? Henne has.
Who the hell is going to trade for Chad Henne?
Quote:As much as Id be okay with dealing Henne, I'm not so sure he's an upgrade over Shaun Hill
He isn't.
Especially when you consider Shaun already has time spent with the Rams and time to learn the offense.

I don't know. People are saying they want 3rd or 4th rounders. Henne is a guy whose thrown more INTs than TD's and we don't even want him to start. Who would trade that much?

Henne is 4-4 in his last 8 as starting QB of that 2013 Jags bunch....
If Blaine Gabbert (who might be the worst QB in the modern era of the NFL) can fetch draft choices in a trade, then a QB who went 4-4 in his last 8 could certainly fetch a deal, especially to a desperate team that just lost its starter.
Id trade chad for a fourth and fifth

A team desperate for a QB right before the season starts? A team in ascension that's expected to make a leap that just lost their starting QB for the season? A team that would be hurting for help at the position and looking at other teams that have a starting QB that's expendable? Any other questions I can answer for you?

Thats probably the best argument for going with Hill, however, has Hill ever been a full time starter? Henne at least has that going for him.

Thats actually what I was thinking, lol

Well, if you gotta do it....get the proverbial Ham Sammich too!
But I bet the 49er's are waaaay ready to deal lame gabbert, bet he could be had for just a sammich.

You didn't quote me, but I was the one that floated the 3rd or 4th. If you read and comprehended my post you'd understand that I think that's what it would take for us to deal him, not what the Rams would pay for him. But carry on with the manufactured outrage if it suits you.
Gus was on a team that dealt their starter after the 3rd pre-season game in favor of a Rookie QB just 2 years ago.
Not saying it WILL happen, but I wouldn't necessarily be shocked.

I forgot about that.
There ya go...
And I also think Gus has the "guts" to make a bold move when he feels it's appropriate.
I think Caldwell would probably look to move certain players and then see if Gus "OK's" it...
like "hey... do you think Blake is ready? We can get a 4th rounder for Henne if we trade him next year. Your call."

Can you imagine how many sacks, picks have would have/take against the defenses in the NFC West?
....and for all the overblown stuff about Henne needs to stay here to "mentor" Bortles.....
Who was Russell Wilson's "mentor" in 2012?
Did Peyton Manning have a veteran "mentor" in 1999?...

Yeah, it's true that Henne went 4-4 in his last 8 games, but the Jags have to hope that would be all the other team would look at, b/c if I remember correctly, at least 2 of those wins were in spite of Henne, not because of him.
Why dont we trade BORTLES?
