Quote:Was that a yes or no? Did he let the Colts drive down the field in under a minute to score the game winning TD?
His missed FG gave them the ball with good position and they scored. Defense can't hold them all game when your kicker gives up great field position.

You'r a moron and probably a troll.  There was a lot more that caused the loss then simply stating we blew it.  Blind refs for starters.

The fact remains that if the kicker does his job, Jags don't lose that game regardless of the other errors.
Quote:He hit the clutch field goal at the end to put us up with a minute to play. The defense lost the game the last possession.
Wow he clutched a extra point length FG, just like the one he missed earlier!! lmao  Wallbash
Quote:Just so I'm clear, you are using a terrible defense to justify an inconsistent kicker?
No I making it clear that the ENTIRE team was the true donkey of the week. To place blame on the kicker when you can point at several different members of the team or coaches for the loss is just stupid.
All of these Jason Meyers apologist are clueless, if a Kicker missed 10 FG's and you lose 28 to 0 it must be the defense fault lmao.

With a minute left, that was "supposed" to be the game winner. So yeah, a lot of pressure there.

name 5 players on the 97 jags without google that are unknown. if you cant do it.  your a troll.

I personally don't BLAME Myers for the loss, but it is no secret he is highly inconsistent. As we get better, we will count on making mid range kicks to win games and his lack of consistency is a little scary.

The fact remains if the defense doesn't let them drive down the field with a 1:30 left we win the game or about 4 or 5 other things we should have done could have won us the game.

Here's the issue.

If you have a problem at a key position it's not easy to find a good replacement, it's very difficult. With a kicker you can sign just about any FA kicker right now and they will be better than Meyers. It's too easy to allow it to continue.
Quote:Dude could not see.  He had guys in the back and both sides.  And still tried to make a play. Do you all watch games, or just highlights?

I watch the games. Not an excuse for him to hold the ball like that and turn it over. He has to be able to sense that pressure around him or know when he's in trouble. He's done that way too much during his career already.

Rodgers, Brees, Roethlisberger among a few other elite QB's don't get caught off guard like that. It's rare for guys like that. But for him? Guaranteed to see that happen at least four or five times a year.

He cost too many games.  That is for sure.  He has some serious mental issues in clutch situations.

What? When did the 97 Jags come into play about yesterday's game? Thank-you for providing the most useless comment of the day.
What is there to talk about.. He is still young and needs to get better...

Thats a lie.  You have no proof to make that statement.  Cause all elite qbs with that much pressure fumble the ball or make ints.  Read that back to yourself.  You are a very smart poster.  Yet this is bonehead without thought reply.

Ya can't do it it.  So hush. And troll another board.

If the kicker does his job, that last drive doesn't matter.  Other parts of the team failing don't nullify the kicker failing.
This team finished 3 - 13. Plenty of blame to go around. The kicker is the least of our worries right now. How many times did we see Parnell and Beachum kill any positive plays or momentum on offense this year with a false start or holding call? How many games did Bortles end up finishing as the leading rusher for the team this year? Despite the overall defensive ranking this year. Where were the turnovers? Where was the pass rush outside of Malik Jackson and Yannick Nagackoue? The list goes on and on man....

there is not reason to feed the trolls.
