Who do we need to keep an eye on this season for potential first round picks, assuming we're in the top 15?
Pretty confident we can scratch off Jameis, Mariota, & Hundley. Outside Joeckel, Cyprien, & Bortles, it looks like we can target any position (cept RB lol).
Devin Funchess, TE Michigan
if you really want to dream......
Vic Beasley, DE Clemson

OG/OT will probably be the biggest need...DE/LEO is another need...TE is another position I would like to see them address early (2/3 round).
I feel Linder will be the starting OC next year so thats why I think RT//RG will be the biggest need.
OG/OT/OC in 1st Round that I like:
Ogbuehi - TAMU
Scherff - Iowa
Peat - Stanford
The other OG/OC I wouldn't take til Round 2.
DE/Leo/DT in 1st round that I like:
Gregory - Nebraska (Leo)
Williams - USC (Elephant End)
Calhoun - MSU (Leo)
Bennett - OSU (Versitilty...would play both DE/DT)
Davis - Iowa (Miller's replacement)
Beasley's size scares me but he could be an Bruce Irvin type pick.
TE I like...none of which I would currently take in the 1st:
O'Leary - FSU
Sleepers:
Christian - Louisville
Uzomah - Auburn
I think this'll be the year you see the Jaguars trade out of the first round.

Things can change so much by the end of the year but the talent seems to be pretty top heavy in this draft and if we are able to trade out that would be great.
Maybe one of the QBS slides to our pick. ..

You need to caveat punter and kicker as well. Oh, wait, Gene's gone, you're good!
My prospect to keep an eye on are Denzel Perryman, Dante Fowler, Melvin Gordon, and Josh Shaw. These aren't the guys Id pick if we had a top 5 pick (that's Gregory, Calhoun, or Calhoun for me). Just keep an eye on these 4.
Fowler jr, Mario Edwards, perryman, tre Jackson, Landon Collins

Protect my QB.
Judging from the Gratz and Linder picks, we need to watch for underrated guys with more highly rated teammates at big name schools. Good luck.
I hope we still draft another good QB in the 2015 draft. It won't be in round 1....but nonetheless...

Who were the bigger prospects from Miami or UConn in the 2014//2013 drafts?
I always thought BWW//Gratz were thought about the same just different scheme fits.
For Gratz, the other CB - Blidi Wreh-Wilson was generally going in the 2nd or 3rd round of all the mock drafts ahead of Gratz (3rd-4th) and was mocked to the Jags several times.
For Linder, he was projected by most sites as a 7th rounder or UDFA and Seantrel Henderson was a Senior Bowl standout and physical freak who underperformed at college that many had drafted in rounds 3-6 depending on when the mock took place. Admittedly Henderson's stock fell the closer he was to the draft. In October Mel Kiper had him as the #10 overall OT.
*Edit - Misremembered Gratz's draft stock, went and looked at some old mocks and fixed.

Didn't Linder win the Offensive MVP for Miami?

Linder's stock also was reportedly higher with many coaches than most of the mock drafts listing of him.
Linder was seen as a 3rd-5th round grade per many of the coaches that were asked about him.
We still need a lot of help on the Line. The fact that we cant find 5 solid starters means our depth is lousy. I'd like to see us draft a tackle. If it ends up being a stud LT, I wouldnt have any problem moving Joeckel back to the right. And Pastzor inside assuming healthy. Preferably I'd rather we draft a guy who can play tackle and then move something inside as opposed to drafting only an interior player. Less versatility. Brand Scherff Iowa. Andrus Peat Stanford
You can never have enough pass rushers. Leanord William USC. Randy Gregory Nebraska.
Keep building along the lines! ... well unless you can find a stud CB. A big year from PJ Williams from FSU will solidify him as a 1st rounder. I'm interested to see if Josh Shaw at USC has a big year.
I'd like to get a bigtime center as well. But I dont think you need to draft one in the 1st.
Brandon Scherff the LT for Iowa intrigues me as a RT but I think he goes too high for us to be in the running for him. He's super athletic/powerful and has good size for the position. He's a really good LT but I think he would be a stud on the right side. The kid has a ton of natural ability.
