I give Mike Brown his walking papers after Sanders comes back.

Quote:Hurns is the diamond in the ruff. Dont matter about Brown or Hurns. Neither will see the field.Hurns will be on the active roster and Hurns will definitely see the field.
Quote:Hurns will be on the active roster and Hurns will definitely see the field.I think he meant to say Brown because there is a chance Hurns could start.
Quote:I don't see how you can release Brown he has been pretty consistent and healthy for us. I think with a true #1 and 2 WR on the field he will look really good as the #3. Maybe it's just because he gets more targets and I'm familiar with him, but I think Brown sticks.
Quote:I'm getting the suspicion that these two guys are fighting for one spot.I dunno maybe they keep both? I mean Ace Sanders will be out for four games, Blackmon wont play this year if ever and with all the injuries the WRs had up to this point from camp & preseason maybe they'll make room by cutting other postion depths?
I really really like Mike Brown, and two weeks ago I would have said that he was a lock, but I think Taylor may be making a move for his roster spot.
How do you guys see it and who would you like to see us keep? Any way they both make it? Any way they both get cut?
Quote:With the injuries in the WR corps in the offseason and camp, I think they'll keep six (counting Ace). The final spot will come down to Doss, Brown, and Taylor. Although Doss has return ability, he may lose out simply due to not being available for any meaningful evaluation. Taylor is less versatile position-wise than Brown, giving the slight nod to Brown. If Doss can get back on the field in camp, he would have a shot to unseat Brown for the spot.If I had to guess I would think that Mike Brown gets one more year to try to prove himself as a Jaguar and Taylor gets cut, maybe Doss cut too..
Quote:Hurns is the diamond in the ruff. Dont matter about Brown or Hurns. Neither will see the field.I disagree. I'm pretty sure Hurns will see the field. He's earning that in the preseason. Whether it pans out in the regular season or not remains to be seen, but he's taken full advantage of the opportunity he's been given.
Quote:Mike Brown is afraid to make a catch in traffic, I do not like him very much honestly.. too many drops. That being said, haven't seen enough of Taylor to have a definitive opinion but he's been on the end of some nice plays recently.
Quote:I like Mike Brown. Usually he's fairly reliable. Not the biggest or fastest guy out there but he knows the playbook and runs good routes. He's a good guy to play in spot duty and can even start in a pinch. I think he has more veteran savy than Taylor.
Quote:Taylor does add more to the equation for special teams though. It would be hard to keep 6 receivers if your bottom 2 guys don't add much to ST.
I do hope Hurns and Brown make it to the final roster and after Sanders comes back (who knows if it'll be only 4 games..)
Quote:I actually like all 3 of Brown, Taylor and Hurns. I'd have no worries with those 3 as the starters if that ever needed to happen. Having Lee + Robinson only adds to how happy I am with the WR corps. The broken record has returned.
I'd keep all 3 and explore trade possibilities for Cecil to perhaps acquire interior OL help.
