Hate to say it but the Titans are in good position to improve even more with those 2 first round picks (let's see if they trade or something also) and they have a healthy cap space situation as well.

Hopefully we get a playmaker with our first round pick.

If they wanted to trade up, they have the ammunition to do so.

They could trade up for Garrett and still have a good pick to get a DB or WR if they wanted and still have a normal allotment of picks.

Bastards!

[BAD WORD REMOVED]!
Yeah, they got a great deal trading down last year.

I would have never imagined they'd be in this position a year ago pffff...frustrating.
i don't think it'll matter that much.

I'd pick Hooker at 4. Best DB in this class. I think we trade back though.

This is what I'm thinking will happen. I have the draft shaking out like this.....

1. Cleveland- Myles Garrett, DE, Texas A&M

2. San Francisco- Tim Williams, OLB, Alabama

3. Chicago- Jonathan Allen, DE/DT, Alabama

I really like Hooker and to me, he's the only one left that I can justify taking at #4 (at this time,) if the board shakes out this way. My preference would be to trade down though. This is a deep draft at D-Line and CB, so we should be able to fill those needs in the middle rounds. The needs on the O-Line should be filled right away as the positions aren't nearly as deep and one run could wipe out most of our viable options. Of course, Hooker might opt to stay in school. If that happens, I would definitely trade down with no hesitation.
Trade down regardless for me
I just don't see us taking a Saftey,I'm guessing Allen or Fournette or Barnett

Allen is going to be gone. I can almost guarantee that. I like Fournette, but at #4, that's just too high. Maybe if we traded down, he'd be an option. I see the same for Barnett. He's a good player, but not worthy of pick #4. A trade down is the ideal scenario.
I've seen people compare Malik Hooker to Ed Reed. If that's the case, sign me up for him at #4. Then get me DeMarcus Walker in the 2nd.
Hooker declares...

Jags can get one of Garrett/Allen/Hooker/Barnett.
Ya Hooker is the best Saftey in this class hands down! I love Jamal Adams but definitely would take Hooker at #4

Huh?

He was making the point that many players you don't expect to be there when you pick will be there.

Players fall every year.

Last year, many speculated Ramsey would be gone by our pick, but he was there.
1) Malik Hooker - S

2) DeMarcus Walker - DL

3) BAP OL

4) Jake Butt - TE (due to his ACL tear)

5) James Conner - RB

Bingo.

"No way Jack will be there in the 2nd round....."

Happens every year. At this point last year, no one knew Goff and Wentz would go 1 and 2. To say Allen won't last until pick 4 when the draft is 4 1/2 months away is nuts.

Absolutely it happens every year.

In 1983, it was Marino lasted until the bottom of the first.

The next year, Boomer Esiason dropped to the 2nd round.

Emmitt Smith dropped to 17th.

Warren Sapp fell to 11th or so due to allegations of multiple marijuana tests.

Randy Moss was overwhelmingly viewed as a top 5 talent, but fell to Minnesota due to off field concerns.

Nobody thought Edgerrin James would get picked before Ricky Williams.

There was no way John Henderson was going to last until our pick at 9.

Aaron Rodgers at 25?

The list goes on and on.

Granted, if you aren't in the playoffs, you want as high a pick as possible in most cases so you can have access to a larger pool of talent.  But it's not out of the realm of possibility a guy you don't expect to be available where you pick by any stretch.
This draft seems full of base hits rather than elite talent in the first round.

just last year most felt Tunsil was the best overall player. Then the video of him smoking with the gas mask came out on draft day and he fell to the Dolphins
