Watch the throw in the Maryland game his pocket presence is great

I'm leaning with Shack on this discussion.  While I'm pretty high on Jameis, when a legit defense got after him he looked flustered.

He did not have a good game against Auburn.  They were able to rattle him and make him look rather average.
Quote:You took still shots at completely different points of their motion. Your picture is an apples to oranges comparison. I'm not saying that the two have similar wind-ups, but at least give a fair comparison to prove that.

that doesn't really say much to be honest....

Except for when he brought his team back down 18 on the largest stage possible which included a 7 play 80 yard drive in 58 seconds to win the national championship but yes the first half he didn't look like the regular jameis
Quote:I said Leftwichesque moments. Didn't say he was a carbon copy of the guy. And I said nothing about his throwing motion. I am talking about his movement in the pocket. Watch the Auburn game.

Jameis was a dual threat QB coming out of high school believe it or not. Most people expected his running to be what put him over the edge lol....but he's gotten chunky. His weight was out of control,he had bad gains trying to bulk up for football season. He use to be a stick figure.

I wouldn't draft him in the top 10 and maybe even the first round if I was a gm, because he's an idiot off the field....all these comparisons are nonsense though

I've always said said jameis reminds me of Big Ben

you can watch pretty much all his throws...how can people compare this man's throwing motion to Leftwich? It's not nearly as bad as people like to exaggerate

Has anybody in this thread compared his throwing motion to Leftwich?

I don't think he's as mobile as Roethlisberger.

Are you serious?

Ha yes he is.  Big Ben isn't even "mobile", he is just hard to bring down.  Plus Big Ben got fat pretty quick.  If Winston also gets fat, well then you might be right.

Isn't even mobile? Yeah...ok.

I can't agree here.  The comparison of Big Ben to Bortles throws me off too.....Ben cant really run that well, and Bortles can.  Ben is just hard to take down.

Have you seen him lately?  He is fat and slow.  Good pocket movement, but I don't define that as "mobile".

Lately? Well of course he's not as mobile as Winston now. He's 32 and Winston is 20. Are you comparing them now or at the same age?

You may want to re-read this thread.

It says just as as much as the guy's twitter post did, which is not much at all.

I posted film of his throws...you can try and use the video to illustrate his supposedly leftwich like throwing motion...the tape doesn't show that though

his high school highlights are pretty much him running the ball

he's not a speedster but he's mobile. He will pick up first downs with his feet if it's open. He also moves in the pocket very well and has the ability to escape.

I hope the article in the OP is correct and he is one that leaves after taking out such a policy the year after. Jameis, should you need a few bucks to help you along the way, I will give you $5 or $10 a week to help out, so long as you agree to leave. I will need a contract signed. Thank you.

Who here said he had a Leftwich type throwing motion again?
