Quote:... and miss the opportunity to spend $150 to watch Alabama play Ole Miss in Women's Basketball ? No way .... I'll be there !! We may never get event again.
I challenge anyone (without looking it up) to name 1 women's basketball player from the SEC that did not go to Univ of Tennessee
I don't think the tickets are $150.
And for someone who obviously doesn't care about the event coming to Jacksonville, you sure do continue to talk about it.
Quote:I wouldn't know if it is or not. I don't think seeing 2 seconds while flipping through channels makes me an expert on saying it is or isn't.
You think women's MMA fighting is a joke....is this different?

I'm assuming its at the arena. Thats a big place to fill.
If the tickets were cheap enough, I may check out a game or two.

I would rather be forced to watch women's mma over women's basketball. I guess.

I could see an all sessions pass for the tournament at $150.

I had to do some digging, but tickets for the tournament last year for all games were $90. That's pretty darn cheap. I'm guessing the cost will be $110-$120 here in Jax.
Quote:Women's college basketball is hardly competitive.
Nobody is forcing you to watch, are they?
I go watch local high school girls play here, the local school is usually very successful. The games between top teams are tight, well played and fun to watch.

I don't think filling the arena is the expectation.

That sounds about right. I'm sure I will go to a few games with my daughter. She is 5 years old now and plays various sports, including basketball. It will be a nice event to have in town to take her to watch.
I expect someone to post "Girls are stupid!" any time now.

That's assumed, calm down. Bch will confirm this for me.

I might make one or two...I'm sure I could convince my wife to watch the Gators.

We get it, you like women's sports. Some here don't, who cares.

Exactly, so why single me out and not them? Maybe you do care?

Because you were the one who singled them out for not liking women's sports. Step down from your high horse please.

I stated "spend $150" -- that includes parking, food, drinks (etc) which is equivalent to seeing the Jags.
Yes, I post a lot about it because we kept hearing about Notre Dame vs Navy. We kept hearing about the BCS Championship bid. The hype surrounding the "Annoucement" is quite hilarious !!!
I personally like women's mma. They get after it.

I'm sure they'd beg to differ...
Quote:You don't say?
I wouldn't want to run into some of those female BB ball players... They are scary!!!
