eh I see it as another part of the Jaguar family. If they are out there pushing our Jaguars on their dime more power to them. I gotta say they are very passionate and protective of the image of the Jags on the national level when it comes to twitter. I applaud them for that
Also I remember another site that "rehashed content" making a ton of money when NBC bought them out.

Yeah, kinda ridiculous to complain about a free website that you don't have to visit. Possibly some ulterior motive here?

Alfie blocked me on Twitter.

I like Big Cat Country. I always read their articles and comment on there from time to time, but I don't stir up anything with them. Just casual commenting.

I see where he's done that with quite a few people. Alfie needs thicker skin.

The site could be a great resource for Jaguars fans. Sometimes it is but usually it just operates as an opinion piece for Alfie and his friends. Hey, it's their site. They can do with it whatever they choose to. I am registered on that site and sometimes comment. I never say anything inflamatory. But when I have said anything disagreeing with their group-think, I get ganged up on like Kramer did when he didn't wear the ribbon. Does not make it an appealing place to go. Had the same experience on Twitter with that crew.

Quote:The site is okay. Alfie is awful. He's trying too hard to matter. He wants to be Prisco so bad, but you know without the journalism degree, the decades of experience covering the NFL, the national exposure, the credibility, etc, etc.Holy Crap! Dude needs to seriously mix in a salad.
Plus this is about the most pathetic thing I have ever seen.

Its a decent website. I like it. I agree that Alfie needs thicker skin, though. I dislike how he also gets so literal when people make comments that are figurative/hyperbole, and then argues with them about it.
I recently saw a "Vicbow" poster in the comment section there. And I thought my name was one of a kind :verymad:.

Quote:Alfie blocked me on Twitter. :mellow:Me as well and I remember it fondly. We were debating over who would make a better DE before the draft of Nick Perry and Melvin Ingram. He blocked me because we had differing opinions but then unblocked me later on for some reason. I just recently started following him again about a week ago just to get some extra Jags stuff on my feed. He could be a pretty cool guy if he took the arrogance down a couple of notches. Definitely knows his stuff most of the time.

Quote:Yeah, kinda ridiculous to complain about a free website that you don't have to visit. Possibly some ulterior motive here? Not complaining, just noting the shrinking amount of content and wondering why.
Maybe it's the exponential increase in Jaguars related content that is now available elsewhere that has made that website seem more and more inconsequential to me. Maybe the website hasn't actually shrunk as much as stayed the same while everything else Jaguar-related has grown. The pretty much post the basic Jaguars news- "Jags Sign Bowanko"- stuff like that. I think they had better change with the times if they want to be relevant. More. Original. Work. Not just "news."
