I think a good topic of discussion. I don't mind a game being international, seeing how impact it can be to our team and Jax's economy. 

I'd love it. It's the only chance I get to see the Jaguars (getting over to the USA is expensive but it's a goal of mine!) so obviously it'd be great for me. Not only that but it's great for the franchise too. They're growing over here and the revenue speaks for itself.

As long as it is only 1 home game per year, I'm perfectly ok with it. It is great exposure and increases the teams revenue.  It will worry me if we start doing two home games per year there.

Haven't checked the exchange rate lately, but you can get pretty far on the pound in the US!

I agree, I would hope it just stays to 1 game as well. That would be excessive for our players if that happened. 

Yes and no. I don't mind losing the home game if it helps the team financially and love anything that grows Jaguar nation. I do mind sacrificing some competitive advantage with the extra travel. I think there will come a time when I might want it to phase out. But not yet.

15 % revenue based off one game a year in London is insane.

If they said

 

"we're going to play 1 home game in London for the next 15 years, but we are fully commited to Jacksonville and will never move the franchise"

 

I'd be okay with that. 

Considering i actually dont live in Jacksonville, It doesnt hurt me as a season ticket holder... So i think its cool that we play a game in london every year.

I don't even mind 2 games as long as they are in consecutive weeks and only one of them is a home game.

I'm good with it. I get to watch a Jags game live for a third of the price it would normally cost me. And London is a great city to spend a weekend in.

Where's the option for 'Yes, it's the only way I get to see a live game'? Taking my partner's dad to this year's - hope they'll be running for long enough to take my sons to watch one...

I can't really see the harm in it at the moment. And it seems to be very good financially I think it's also done the Jaguars image a lot of good and just seems to reinforce this idea that we are forward thinking now.


Really against an increase in the number of London games though


For a lot of NFL fans over here, the attraction is getting the chance to see their favourite American teams play. Once you make it too commonplace or (please no!) base a team over here, I think the magic is gone.


We want to watch the DALLAS Cowboys play the JACKSONVILLE Jaguars (sorry for the caps) not the London Monarchs play the Scottish Claymores.


And one more thing, if results ever started to suffer because of the London games, I believe all British Jags fans would agree to let the Jaguars return home.

Yeah, same here.   It looks like it may be vital to saving the franchise in Jacksonville. 

 

Also, I think it could become a big home field advantage for us, because our team would be used to the trip, and the "visiting" team would not know how to adjust as well.   Especially if they come all the way from the west coast. 

 

And as far as I'm concerned, they could move a preseason game over there as well. 

 

Imagine the future, with the sunshade over the stadium, development of the shipyards, and visiting fans from London enjoying the warm weather and the games and staying at the shipyards resort/hotel.    I'm ready to roll the dice and go along with Khan's vision of the future. 

I just cant wait for the day when they don't send our marquee game over there.

It beats the team being there for every home game.

Same here, though we are already planning to take our boy to Jax when the current London series deal expires. He will be 5 by then, so we are gonna do a week in Jax and a week in Disney. After visiting Jax for the draft party last week my love for the team and town has hit an all time high. It really is a gorgeous city, full of lovely friendly people - I hope the London series opens doors for far more UK'ers to enjoy the place. Direct flights would be nice though!

If it helps keep the team in Jacksonville, I can live with 1 game in London.  If we shift to 2 regular season home games away from Jacksonville then I'd like to see a preseason game get shifted to Orlando or something.  I don't want to have my ratio of regular season games to preseason games be 6:2  ---- that would mean 25% of our tickets are worthless (a.k.a. preseason).

That's awesome. Were you in town for something else or did you come for the draft party only? Would have definitely treated you to a few rounds had we met.
