Quote:i cant read twitter on my work computer. what is that post?
Several tweets from this morning, but mostly along this line.
"Browns owner Jimmy Haslam says team has told Manziel to start acting "like a backup QB" and "this is not Hollywood."
I'm guessing they are already taking issue with Johnny's BIG BOY persona.
Quote:Apparently the $100,000 they spent on an analytics report didn't mention Manziel's personality anywhere. Their scouts probably also didn't pay attention to it.
Their scouts paid attention to it. Their owner was just more concerned about the marketing and revenue report.
Seeing the tinhorn organization in disarray gives me a warm and fuzzy.

The homeless guy didn't mention it....so they didn't think it was an issue!
Quote:I agree, 0% chance, but Manziel isn't exactly fitting in Cleveland already.

With Clevelands need at WR, I suppose anything is possible.
Cleveland is going to trade away a 23 year old QB that the fans just erupted for when selected, so they can get a soon to be 34 year old declining WR??
Ah you Texans fans got a good sense of humor....
I'm sure he's not particularly thrilled that they still don't have a QB for the present or future. Andre is the Texans though, best that he just keep his mouth shut and continue to play out his contract as there is still a lot of money to be made. Of course the Jag fan in me wouldn't mind if he sat the whole season
Mallet for Johnson definitely could see this.
I'm sure Johnson would gladly restructure his deal for a chance at having a real QB throwing the ball for once in his career ! :woot:
AJ for a career backup? Sounds like something the tinhorns would do.

No chance in hell. He's making over 11 million dollars in each of the next three seasons. If he gets traded to the Pats he would likely have to restructure near the league minimum.
Funny how this story comes out AFTER the texans don't draft anybody worth anything at QB. So they're stuck with what got them the 1st pick last year. I'd be mad if I was him too.
Geez, Johnson might want out, but he sure doesn't want to go to Cleveland (I think I am safe in inferring here). He wants to go to a contender at his age.
Exactly. Evidently, he doesn't think Houston is a contender.
Unfortunately for him, nobody is going to trade for a guy with that contract. Not at this point in his career. He's suffering from MJD syndrome, holding out with years left on his deal. He'll be back when it starts to cost him money.
Andre is still an amazing player. Nothing suggests he's losing speed.
I guess he can be traded, he still is worth his contract.
I could see why he would want out but I'm surprised this is coming up right now.
Regards to the contract...there are a few teams, one being Cleveland, that I think would eat that contract in a trade. Cleveland has the room to afford it.
I don't see Andre wanting to go to Cleveland though. He'd be just as good, if not better off, staying where he's at.
I'm not convinced Cleveland has the right coach yet. I don't know enough about him to feel confident he's going to turn that sinking ship around. If the offense can play better that team has potential, the defense is good enough to win them some games if the offense can put up points.
Nobody is going to trade for that contract.

It was a heavily back loaded contract with a cap hit of $15,644,583 in 2014 (16th in the NFL), $16,144,583 in 2015 (17th in the NFL) and $14,675,000 in 2016 (15th in the NFL). Keep in mind this guy is a 32 year old wideout.
So I take it he isn't thrilled with Fitzpatrick at the helm...lol
Great time for this organisation to turn the corner is when the other 3 teams show their true colors.. Cream always rises to the top and it's just a matter of time now.
According to the ex-lawyer with a bad toupee, AJ forfeited a million dollar roster bonus by skipping workouts.
You show em Andre!
There's definitely a market out there for Andre despite his contract. Many great receivers have put up great numbers in their mid 30's.
If you ask me, Andre has 3-4 1,000 yard season's left in him.
