Given the FAs we brought in on the DL, I'd kind of be surprised if we go that direction. I'm not saying the line couldn't do with improving, but with all the vets we have, I suspect we're just going to hand the keys to them and see what happens.
I also suspect we're done with the OL too. Assuming Linder starts, 4/5 spots are filled, Bradfield is the swing OT and then we have 3/4 guys who are going to fight for the center spot and get a shot to make it their own.
I'd guess the focus will be on the thin positions now, which to me looks like RB, TE, LB, CB, FS. We could do with some depth there and there are some decent options available.

The talent level of the remaining players is getting thin enough that I would not exclude half the players by focusing only on one side of the ball.

desir would be cool right about now. The tight end from Oregon.....what is his name lytra? I'd like to see some high talent red flag guys grabbed late. If they work out then awesome, if not, no big deal. Seantrel Henderson is another. If he is still there in the 6th.

LB should be a focus, as there is a TON of talent on the board. I wouldn't be surprised to hear Shembo Prince's name if they were impressed after going to Notre Dame's pro day.
Might take shot at another LEO candidate, CB depth is certainly a need, and FS.
RB depth is possible. I wouldn't put emphasis on TE at all, as we've shown we can backfill it.

Yes! Shembo can play. I like Shembo, Telvin Smith, and Lamin Barrow.. Also has Shane Skov been selected? He would be an interesting pick.

Jackson Jeffcoast is a guy they visited with and is still there.

Kevin Pierre-Louis is another guy that I think could be a good WLB. James Gayle from Va Tech is a guy I like. He tore up Kouandjio.

This front office seems to be very focused when they draft. They don't just jump around from position to position filling needs all over the team. They find the "BIGGEST" need(s) on the team and oversaturate the position(s). Last year, they desperately needed scheme fit defensive backs and drafted FIVE of them.
This year, in an offense heavy draft, they told us they were identifying offense, and they used their first four picks on QB, WR, WR, and interior OL...all three were our biggest needs on offense. So, they are indeed infusing the offense with talent.
With five more picks in the draft...I see us going OL again, RB, another offensive player, and then, with two more picks, I can see us going defense...I'd like to think we go with a linebacker, and then maybe a LEO prospect.
;
On D. The safety pool has dried up. Not seeing fits. There are very few corners left that are scheme fits. McGill, Desir, Walt Aikens, and Antone Exum. Once they dry up, probably in the fourth round, I don't see us going CB. Linebacker is still got talent there, and there is still some DL prospects left that are fits.

I think he may slide. Questions about work ethic and desire. There are better DEs still on the board (James Gayle,) so he may be value later.
Love his pedigree, though.

I am still hoping for Pierre Desir.
I'm thinking Bradley likes McGill, though.

Are you saying you're tired and therefore made a mistake?
Who are these TEs we 'backfilled' the roster so successfully with? Clay Harbor? Alan Reisner? You don't think we can do a little better?
Not to mention the fact that Marcedes Lewis is entering his 9th year is 29 years old and certainly benefits from a little bit of a push now and then.

The biggest issue with Marcedes is he's way overpaid per the production.

I'm saying you're trying to trigger yet another juvenile slapfight as you usually do.
We've got Lewis, and the rest really aren't important. With all the more pressing needs this team has, it makes no sense to look at TE with gaping holes at OLB.
Take a flier on Jake Murphy UDFA and call it a day. We aren't looking for a starter, and Bradfield is the jumbo set TE.
Give me any of these players before even thinking about it...
James Gayle DE
Larry Webster DE
Cassius Marsh DE/OLB/TE
Zach Moore DE/OLB
Keith McGill CB
Antoine Exum CB
Dontae Johnson CB
Bennett Jackson CB
Victor Hampton CB
Adrian Hubbard OLB
Lamin Barrow OLB
Carl Bradford OLB
Prince Shembo OLB
Trevor Reilly OLB
Shaquil Barrett OLB
Nate Askew OLB
Morgan Breslin OLB
Devon Kennard OLB
Storm Johnson RB
Lache Seastrunk RB
JC Copeland FB

Yes, he is but that's not really the point I'm making. Its safe to say any possible TE we draft now wont be replacing Lewis this year at least.
There is a major issue of depth and youth at the position. Harbor is average at best and I've never even heard of the other TE on the roster.

Not to be a smartass but without cap problems, isn't that only an issue to the guy writing the checks?

With the 4th they need to consider McGill or McCullers or Jordan Tripp at least, Walt Aikens is another. Christian Jones.
