Quote:His 4 game stretch with Blackmon in the lineup last year 57 yards per game, 1 TD, 5 catches per game. YPC was 11.4

First four games of 2013 for Shorts (No Blackmon in the lineup): 84 yards per game, 0 TD, 6.5 catches per game. YPC was 12.9
Hmm, Didnt Blaine Gabbert start those first 3 games, and lost his job to the backup Chad Henne because he was so poor in performance?

I guess that didnt have anything to do with the stats you showed either?
Quote:I think they are different style of WRs, but to compare the stats

2012

14 games play by Cecil 55 rec for 979 yards 7 tDs, avg 17.8

16 games played by Justin 64 rec for 865 yards 5tDs, avg 13.8  (thats with Justin playing 2 extra games)

overall avg cecil is 14.5 yards per catch with 11tds  compared to 13.8 by Justin with 6tds

If you look back at the video of those games you will see that justin not only droped many of passes but gave up on the route

while Cecil was double covered at times with the best CB on him.

I'm just saying that i disagree with your comment about Cecil being so far off from Justin.

yeah looks like you hit the nail on the head TMD. your shorts needing blackmon agenda looks about as baseless as your lee needing robinson hahahahah
Did you guys see O'Halloran said he thinks ace could be cut! He must be on something

Not sure why unless there's something big that we don't know about.  There's no reason to let him go unless Sander's doing something else that will give the organization negative publicity, which there's been zero indication of.

O'Halloran sucks with his predictions and possibilities.
Quote:Shorts is a proven wr. But he is not an all pro, nor has he even reach 1000 yrds... as far as wrs getting to a slow start, wat bout Green, jones, johnson, bryant, allen..
Yet Lee hasn't even reached 5 yards yet...

Are you saying Lee is as good of a prospect as AJ Green or Calvin Johnson?  You just listed some elite players that are hardly the rule and an obvious exception.

I did see that.  What in the world?

he must be trying to get some hits

Anyone with a pair of functioning eyes, can see that Shorts was a by far more of an impactful player when Blackmon was in the lineup, than without. (mostly evident in 2013)

that makes no sense and is totally subjective.

Calvin Johnson's rookie season:

48 rec, 756 yards, 4 TDs.

Not all rookie WRs step in and produce from day 1, not even the best WR of our era.

I don't think you've had a pair of functioning eyes since I joined this board...

Especially when the stats don't support his nonsense.

Funny stuff.
I'd still wage if Shorts stays health he puts up at least 1,100 yards.

but they do.

Look at all the long TD's he had when Blackmon was on the other side. Thats no accident. The defensive focus will always lean towards Blackmon with both of those WR as starters.

Shorts, Robinson, Lee, Ace, Doss, Copeland.

Lee and Robinson will rotate regularly for the number 2 spot I think depending on the play call.

A little video I found of two of the Jaguars undrafter free agents WR Allen Hurns and QB Stephen Morris.

Course he has yet to reach 5 yards, he still jas to play. N yes he was as goid a prospect, before he got hurt, before last season he was projected in the top 10 in many and top 5 in some mocks drafts, but due to a head coach mess, QB mess and not being a full 100% all season he slip to the second. This is a "wat have you done for me lately" sport n i get that, im not saying hes a shoe in for a future hall of famer im jus saying he has that skill set and im my OPINION, he is a future all pro, i truely believe that. If he isnt ill be the first to say i was wrong on him.
