No worries, I had no idea what else Kurt Warner said so thats on me for not being fully informed.

I understand, Kurt Warner was ripping the team without considering much about the team itself. I was just going off of the OP, saying that Bortles wouldn't have much help. I know the acquisitions that have been made, I'd just like to wait and see how they pan out before I proclaim them to be improvements.


Because let's face it, our offense has nowhere else to go but up. How much? We'll know soon enough.

Thats not how i remember it but i could be wrong...iirc, gabbert was givin the job by two different coaches over henne... Ill be the first to tell you,henne is better than gabbert will ever be on sundays, but im pretty sure he was sat over gabbert twice because gabby had a great work ethic when people werent really trying to kill him.

Hold on so now Henne was the clear cut starter.  I could've sworn i read numerous post about how Gabbert practiced almost perfectly unlike how he played when he outperformed Henne and now it was just given to him.  WOW.  It seems things change almost immediately when another argument emerges to cover what was said before.  LMAO at these posters on these boards.

Just saw this after i posted but i remember that same thing.  Its just now everyone is recanting their statements now to support the new argument.

Im hoping we have seen rock bottom as well... Like u ill reserve judgment on the kid till i see him sundays...but lets face it, most people on this board pay more attention to this team than anyone on nfln... And hopefully caldwell is paying more attention that any of us lol.

We aren't throwing him to the wolves like what happened to Gabbert. Bortles isn't a pansy either so... I agree that Cleveland would be a better situation for a first round QB this year. We need some kind of top tier talent at WR, TE, and interior OL.

If anything, Jordan Palmer and Matt Scott were more deserving than Henne who was more deserving than Gabbert. Gabbert never won the job

One idea I am kicking around involves Buffalo.

 

The Bills have completely stocked up in a lot of WRs.They just traded up for Sammy Watkins.  Earlier, they traded for Mike Williams (formerly of the Bucs).  They have Stevie Johnson, and in the last year or two, they drafted Robert Woods, Marquise Goodman and T.J. Graham.

 

I have to think that one of those guys are going to go.

 

I'm thinking they may try to deal Stevie Johnson.

 

Problem for Buffalo is, this is a deep WR draft.  I think they could end up cutting Stevie Johnson.

 

I think adding him (assuming he gets cut) for a year or two, in addition to drafting another WR and TE plus a couple of OLs would give the Jaguars QBs some quality and some experience.

Fair enough... I could see that haveing been the case... But i do remember alot of people raving aout how good gabbert looked on the practice fields and how much better he lookedthan henne... Thats where we started this argument, maybe bortles looks better than henne on the practice field for the job competietion,, but from our recent history, maybe thatsnot best way to figure out who we are gonna thorw in on sundays... Let henne get ripped while we iron out kinks and grooms bortles for a bit even if he looks better in practice

So Warner said the pick sucked because our teams sucks.  Lol ridiculous analysis, same logic would apply to anyone we would have picked then.

Perhaps it is a good idea to sit Bortles even if he's a better option than Henne. Just seems weird as recent history shows rookie QBs can indeed start and succeed

that would be sweet... doubt they would part with him for that.

Hoping we can get Paul Richardson in the 4th for us.

This, on top of that, we have Shorts, Sanders, Lewis (who i know some hate, but not many guys are going to have great success with what we have tossed out at QB since Garrard). This draft is also ridiculously deep at WR, Matthews/Latimore/Adams etc still there at WR.
