 It wouldn't surprise me in the least if the Jags new coaching staff moves A.J. Cann to LG even if the team doesn't sign a veteran accomplished RG like Larry Warford.

  Not many players get ' much love'  when the team they are on is 2-12.  

I would play Warford at RG. He is clearly a mauler which is typically the RG. I'd move Linder to LG and Cann as a backup swing guard. Draft a center. There are plenty of 2nd or 3rd round prospects there. Trade down if you can and draft Cam Robinson to play RT. Resign Joeckel on the cheap to be a swing tackle. Now your line is set, assuming Cam Robinson and a rookie center dont bust.


LT - Beachum, Joeckel

LG - Linder, Cann

C - Rookie Center, Bowanko

RG - Warford, Omameh

RT - Robinson

He had a better season last year than he has this year.  Kind of like Parnell, Hurns, ARob, and Bortles

I certainly don't want a flip from revolving LG one year to revolving RG the next.

I'm not sure we should add a third OL that will be making 8+ mil since Beachum and Linder will be next year. I'd hope to get Leary in the 6 mil range or something than shoot for the moon with Lang or Zeitler.

I don't want 2 rookies on the oline, no thanks.  This could be Dave's last year and I seriously doubt he wants to do that

Lang will be expensive and worth every penny.

I would prefer not either, especially a rookie center, but at this point, what choice do we have if we really want to fix the problem?

Linder has one more year and we could always use the franchise tag the year after.  Im good with spending money on the online.  We could cut House, Odrick, Skutta, and Thomas to put towards the online if they wanted to

  I don't think T.J. Lang is worth that type of money, kYjaggy is concerned about the Jaguars spending for a UFA Guard from another team,   at least in terms of 2016 salary cap rates.

I strongly believe Linder is a natural LG and his talent is being wasted at center because the rest of the line can't generate any push. Him getting blocks at the second level is irrelevant when players are shooting gaps and blowing up runs before they can even think of a second level.

Did he not earn a Pro Bowl roster spot this year? I think his play merited a trip to Orlando.

 

In reality, I expect the Packers to retain him. Ted Thompson is one of the best at not letting good players get away.

  The Pro Bowl selection process is a joke.  Matthew Stafford has an NFL record of 8 comeback wins in the 4th QTR or later this season and is a 2nd Pro Bowl alternate.   I hope this is the final season the Pro Bowl will be played.

 

 T.J. Lang is going to be 30 years old in 2017.    He's a good player but he's not the most talented RG.  I think Ted Thompson or whoever the Packers GM is will only go so far to retain Lang.  It's a position that many teams will find a replacement if necessary,  before breaking the bank.

Yeah the Matt Stafford snub was ridiculous. But you can't deny T.J. Lang would be a noticeable upgrade at RG if if he wanted to be a Jaguar.
