I would hope that the day before the draft, the Jaguars would know who they would select at 3/who they expect to be there.

Thats some groundbreaking stuff, huh?....
UNless....
that signifies that we won't be trading down, since if you trade down you can't really have your pick narrowed down to one specific player since you won't know for sure if he'll be there.
Caldwell said he could have made the pick weeks ago.
Quote:Manziel
yep, it's been known *for sure* for about a week now.

I believe him too, last year he said Luke was the pick not to far after the season

He's got the 'juice'

No, they said they know who they would pick
at #3. If the trade down, that's something else.
This sounds like bad news. Gene Smith always knew who he was going to take in the draft.
"With the 3rd pick in the 2014 NFL draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars select... Mister Cobble, DT, Kentucky."
"I know some people don't think he was worth a 1st round pick, but he was moving up on boards. He was the best player available. And we really think Oakland was interested in taking him. There wasn't any room to trade down." said Jaguars GM Gene Smith in an alternate universe. "And people say I don't take SEC players. See, I do! They just have to be at the right point. And Mr. Cobble was there at the right time."
If the Jaguars said they had ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA who they would take at 3, would anyone believe them?!?
Could you imagine Caldwell, wearing a T shirt...ball cap on backwards?
"Q: Do you know who you will be picking at 3?
A: Honestly dude, I haven't got the slightest freaking clue. But no worries...we'll figure out something by tomorrow. For now...LET'S PARTY!!!!!"

"We don't have to worry about the draft for another 11 months. It's still in April right? It's tomorrow?! That intern is
so fired!"

Look...I made it through college cramming last minute for finals! We're good!
If I ever control an NFL franchise, party animal Caldwell will be my GM.

Caldwell was asked last week if they knew who they were drafting if they stayed put at 3. He said they did know who it would be then. It's good to see KFFL breaking this today. I'm pretty sure the video is on the website.

You'd better start crafting your meltdowns just in case they don't trade out of the pick.
Another boring safe pick, one of the offensive tackles.
Quote:Bortles.
That would be beyond disappointing

I'm sure he already has all scenarios ready to copy and paste.
