I like the idea of multiple picks. without those wins its harder for Gus to get his guys to believe in him this year. what good are multiple picks that wont follow you.

Quote:I agree. I heard Kubiak bought a log cabin with all of his under-the-table "lose at all cost" money.

Pretty sweet deal. I can only hope Shad and Gus work out a similar scenario.

"You play to lose the game."

Theres the rub...Gus' job was safe regardless. The Jags could have lost a few extra games and secured the top pick and Gus would still be the man, here.

If the Texans wind up getting this trade down, I don't see how people could continue to act like it wasn't worth it for the Texans to lose all those games.

You have NEVER played actual football in your life. I am completely certain of that.
Quote:All I know is The Texans will have indeed benefited from the tanking, should this deal go down.

This is not good news for us.
So without the trade then? No benefit from their Tanking?

Oh yeah, clever way to try and push yourself over the top.

Damn, doomed again for the next ten years.
Quote:This is fun for us because you clearly have no idea how dumb you sound.

Like, rrrreeeeeeeeeaaaaaaalllllyyyyyyy dumb.

It's neat.

You say that, and meanwhile The Texans are (or will be) benefiting by making this nice trade back, which is directly benefiting from their 2nd half swoon. A couple more "meaningless" wins for them in 2013 was't saving Kubiak...or anyone else that lost their job on that team last year.

This should be OUR trade.

The only way that the tanking will have been a waste for them is IF in the end (tomorrow) the Falcons (or no one else) don't make the deal with the Texans, and the Jags wind up being the team making the trade down for a nice return.

IF that happens, then I will admit that they tanked for nothing.

Hahahahahahahahaha
oh great now the Texans and Falcons will meet in the Super Bowl.  I hate not tanking.

Or any competitive sport. The most competition he has ever had is his current bid to overtake FBT as the top poster on this board. They both have been one for one all week around here. FBT has been holding about a 100 post lead all week. Not much of a competition though as many times as TMD has been banned.

I am going to get a shirt made with HIGH SCORES, "You play to lose the game" on front and "Just lose baby" on the back.

1. It wouldn't have been us because we would just take clowney at 1. Which isn't good because based on the ol' last name meter...clowney is going to be a bust.

2. Again, you can't control other teams. You can only do your best with your picks and hope your talent evaluators earn their money.

3. Those "pointless wins" we had. Established a winning culture and a progressive movement making the jaguars more attractive to others in the NFL. It gave us a shot at Alex Mack. It made other free agents WANT to be here. That's documented.

4. If the Texans take teddy #1 then ill come on here and say how smart you are because you've been saying for almost a year that they tanked for teddy. Anyone else or a trade down to 3 and they still don't take him will just cement you as the fool you are.

5. Do you think he just writes down these troll ideas when he has a little free time and saves them for a rainy day?

So draft success is now measured by ones ability to trade down? :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot:

So dumb.
Obvious trolling, hijacking other threads, contributing nothing.  Isn't it about time for another ban?  I would love to have TMD out of here before the draft.

:teehee:

Seriously though, no team tanks. That is just a stupid thing some fan brought up one day. Even if that player won't be on that team past this year, they play for a job elsewhere, or for a bigger contract. No player or coach just gives up on a season, it's about the dumbest thing fans come up with.

3. I really don't see how a few extra wins in November, and then losing 3 straight to close out the year, the last being a blowout loss, "established a winning culture". I think the people that cite this are desperate to try and manufacture something good out of something that really (in the end) will or could wind up biting us. (should this trade happen)

Seriously though, I don't get why he hasn't yet. Most forums by now he would be long gone.
which big time free agents signed with Houston? Oh yeah...ryan Fitzpatrick. I forgot. Nvm wrap up the Lombardi trophy and send it down to Texas now.

Getting the most value from the draft defines draft success, yes.
Then why do you want Bridgewater at 3 and that TE from Notre Dame in the second if they are both terrible values?

Won't be long before Dave Caldwell re-enacts Marlon Brando's speech from On The Waterfront.
