http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000...ted-by-nfl. That following his second substance abuse violation... That may not be too news for Justin Blackmon. Perhaps I'm misunderstanding or reading too much into it? Thoughts?
Quote:Blackmon is currently serving his second suspension (also an indefinite ban) for violating the league’s policy on substance abuse last November. He missed the last eight games.
If Jackson missed two years for his third suspension, the Blackmon ban could at least be for all of the 2014 season, which the Jaguars' brass intimated last week.
Quote:Nope. There may be something to take away from this in regards to Blackmon. O'Halloran had similar thoughts.I think the difference is that Jackson was on his third violation, but his second and third violations were substance abuses. Jackson's first violation wasn't that much different though; It was the result of a failed drug test.

And on Jackson's second violation he was reinstated a little over a year later.
You could make a serious case for unfair treatment if Blackmon is suspended his second time longer than Jackson was.

Quote:I'm thinking week 9 is the best case scenario.if that.. Could be the entire year.. Maybe week 9 he comes back and him and Watkins tear it up?
Quote:He got cut today.
Quote:And then re-signed.
Odd series of events there
