I said we have Joeckel now (think of his as another high draft choice) to neutralize Clowney, and Pasztor did fine against Watt, fine enough for us to win twice against them.

 

I know our run offense sucked, and that's what the rest of the draft is for.  Beadles and hopefully 2 new interior lineman, in addition to Toby, should improve our run game.

Watkins will be nothing special as a pro. You're better off addressing WR with a later pick. The draft is deep at the position.

Watkins ain't Megatron, hell, he's not even AJ Green.....he's not going to be the type of impact player at that position that you think he's going to be, IMO.

I think Watkins is head and shoulders above guys like Latimer, Adams, Robinson, and Matthews.  Those guys will develop into starters I think, but will not be anything special.

 

I see Watkins as a much better playmaker than all those players combined,

 

That's like me saying "why the hell would you draft Matthews when you can just draft Antonio Richardson from Tennessee?  They'll have the same career,"

Watkins would be a great pick. Adds right away to our speed concept. I'm still a little iffy on Mack though! I want to really like him, but when I watched some of his film (other than the Ohio St game) I came away unimpressed ESPECIALLY that Baylor game. He's got some crazy physical skills and athleticism though.


With all that said, I hope we trade down.

You really should have watched the last 4 games.   The vast majority of the successful runs that they DID have were run to Pasztor's side.  He had  2, maybe 3 below average game performances on the year (depending on who you ask) but he was solid and occasionally good at run blocking as the season wore on. 

 

I really think he'll only improve in his second year at a position that better suits his body type.

I like Jimmy G. But for you to think Carr is gonna stink because of his pocket presence then keep throwing this guy out as a QB we should draft is just plain stupid.

Well, I think Matthews is going to be a flat out stud OT in this league. Garropolo?...I can understand people that aren't on board....I have a gut feeling he's going to be a good one. I get it that many will not like that selection....well, that is until the Jags select him and then they'll all act as if they were pro Garropolo the whole time.

Well I watched both and I think of the 2 Jimmy looks the part of an NFL QB a lot more so than Carr. Disagree all you wish.

Guess i'm not too sure what to tell you, because Pasztor was not the cause of our problems on our line last year, I do know that. In his first year as a first time RT, at 23 years of age, he likely will only get better from here on out. 

 

Brewster when at guard, Meester, and Nwaneri (although he wasn't completely awful) is why our line struggled last year. Put Joeckel in there, add in Beadles, a year under Pasztor's belt, and add a center and/or guard in the draft, our line troubles won't be near what they were last year. Matthews is better than Pasztor, i'm not arguing that, but can Pasztor be a fairly solid RT in this league and possibly a little better than that? Yes, he most definitely can. I'm pretty sure Caldwell/Bradley can see that too with how highly they talk of him.

I think the ending to that sentence is exactly that, you're opinion. There's plenty of people that think he will be a highly impactful #1 WR that can be a playmaker from the get go, and I do too. There's a reason why so many teams have him highly on there board, and why he will be drafted in the top 10, and possibly as high as 2.

 

You sit and get mad when people call you out or say crap to you but when you post like this and call players that people like "flushing our pick down the toilet", I don't understand why you're surprised by it.
