Quote:Blackmon is most likely walking after next year. But in 2015 a combo of Watkins Blackmon Cecil and Ace will be so fun to watch.Yea Blackmon will be walking because he does not have a drivers license.

Pretty sure he still has his license. Might be better if he didn't.

We're talking about taking a tackle with less than ideal arm length with the third pick.

But, but, he's a hall of fame player.

I could see Sammy putting up close to 800 yards and a few TDs. This team could use another play maker on offense.

Imagine if we get Blackmon back and he manages to stay on the field?

He'd have a tough time screwing it up, but I'm sure he'd do his darnedest.

Yes, because chasing the WR position wins Championships - signed, never.

1. History would look back at the Jags at completely and utter fools if they took OT top 3 in back to back drafts, and I don't think that Dave is a complete and utter fool.
2. Sammy and Blackmon actually have a pretty similar profile (roughly the same size, both strong after the catch, both very good hands but lack concentration at times, etc), until you get to the speed and explosion in which Sammy blows Blackmon away.
3. Sammy's catch chart is actually pretty disgusting. Not saying that is all he is limited to obviously, more of a knock on Clemson's offense and Boyd's badness...but it's still there

Yep, this is what I was talking about. I had thought it was upwards of 60%.....
edit: actually its worse than I thought....57% is only the screens, another 13% is 1-5 yards, so thats 70% of his catches of 5 yards or less. Yep, thats what we want at 3 overall.

Using that chart Evans clearly displays the most well rounded production of those 4. Plus a solid 25% in 20+ yarders. Compared to a measely 9% for Watkins.
If the Jags took a WR in the first round, I'd want it to be Evans.....but still not at 3rd overall. On a trade down? ok,

Yes because bookend pro bowl level O-Tackles sucks, huh?

Its like some have forgotten the fundamentals of this game. If you can't protect the QB, he's not going to be successful, or worse, he gets broken.

You don't think that Johnny Manziel had something to do with that?
A WR can only run the routes he is assigned. Watkins made chicken salad out of ...
