Mack pops in my head first but honestly ill still support anyone he picks at 3.

Tough Tough question, i would welcome all 3, but IMO a great Defense wins you the big game, a Great Offense makes it fun, give me mack

I have been saying I would take Mack and that they are going to take Mack for months. That being said, the Watkins people have warmed me up on the idea of him. At the end of the day I go Mack because of depth of WR class
Quote:Mack but I would be sweating it. Manziel would bring instant media to Jacksonville good or bad. We need that in a bad way. We need people buying his jersey and putting butts in seats.

Watkins would be excitement. Mary Jane may run us off because of our past experiences.

Mack is a sure thing All Pro

Based on my reading of pre-draft speculation for many years, I can say with near absolute certainty that there is no such thing as a sure thing all pro.

But I voted for Mack anyway.

Watkins had the one incident with the weed, after which his mother came to live with him at Clemson. So I have a feeling he is going to be okay.

As for Manziel, I would prefer not to spend the third overall pick on one of these QBs, especially when there are so many needs at other positions and so many good players to fill those needs.
Do we have a 3 sided coin? I'm okay with all 3 for 3 different reasons.

Watkins could be a different maker for years on offense. Hopefully a true #1 and wishful thinking with Shorts and Blackmom (maybe)

Mack looks to be the disruptive force on defense we haven't had in I don't know how long. He looks great

Manziel could change the franchise overnight. Could literally change the game or he could put the Jags at the bottom of the league for another 10 years

this
Manziel and its not even close to being close.

The Mack & Watkins booster club make me laugh.

it all depends on if mack fits the prototype perfect fit for the LEO spot. if he does, im taking mack. if not, im taking manziel and letting him put some electricity into j ville .

THIS is why people will continue bringing up ridiculous, moronic ideas you vouch for. It isn't enough for you to simply give your opinion, you have to talk a shot at everyone that disagrees with your opinion.

Also, what the heck? I thought two months ago, you were highest on Clowney, Mack, and Bridgewater? What gives?
On second thought, that may have been Barr.

Bridgewater wasn't one of the options in this question, was he??
If Caldwell has it down to those three, he must rate Manziel highly. We need a QB much more than any other position, and Manziel would be far and away the most exciting player in the NFL if he succeeds.

It's not even close.

Manziel this guy is gonna be a star in the league. Everyone doubted Cam Newton look how that turned out

If Caldwell Called You Up On Draft Day...

I'd tell him we've already had this conversation a million times and to stop using this number. He knows what he should do, what he needs to do, what he must do. lol.

Caldwell has said he drafts the best available player that fits a need IIRC.

QB, WR and pass rusher are all glaring needs on this team.   It comes down to which one I think Caldwell would have rated the highest.

For me, that's Johnny Manziel.  Even if they're close and Johnny is slightly behind one or the other I think QB is the higher need and would bump Johnny up.

I'd gladly trade down as far as we could and still take Manziel if possible.  I don't like the value at 3 for any player other than Clowney.

Manziel bring him to jville we need a QB more than a WR and this kid excites me

He'd be one of only 4 picks at 3rd overall that I'd be okay with, the others being Matthews, Bridgewater and Clown.
With pass rushers Clemons and Watkins joining Babin and Branch, Mack is just less of a need for now.  Manziel is a roll of the dice, and I feel a QB can be grabbed later (...although I would not be upset if chosen).  The WR corps is the worst in the league without Blackmon.  My vote is for Watkins.

No more first round WR, this is WR deep draft.  Best available is Mack.  End of story.

There will be productive WR to be got all the way up till the 3rd round this draft....maybe even 4th round.

I don't see the need to jump at the first good one. Yes, thats right. Just good.
