I voted for Manziel, but I think I'm warming up to Mack.
Dude has a nonstop motor, and he's always trying to strip / tip the ball... the sign of a playmaker at the next level.

Did you bother to read up on Mack before you posted? His NFL.com draft profile contradicts you. It's right there in his profile.
Produced nondescript performance with a MAC title game berth on the line vs. Bowling Green and regularly faced inferior MAC competition. Plays a bit too recklessly and out of control. Can learn to run the arc with better lean.
He's essentially being valued to the top of the draft for a single performance against Ohio State. Memorable as it may have been, it seems devoid of scholarly consideration.
1. Ohio State was caught looking ahead. There's little doubt no college football powerhouse specifically prepares to play a cream puff like the University of Buffalo. Check the Buckeye suspensions during this week of their schedule.
2. In high school, Westwood High School in Fort Pierce ranked 720th nationally, 48th ranked in the state of Florida.
3. His senior high school year, 2008-9, he caught one pass for a six yard touchdown to go with 4 sacks, 4 passes defended, and 3 tackles for loss.
4. His high school tackles totals: 61 solo, 49 assists, 110 total
You did see the Mack v. Baylor video, right?

Watkins, but I think he goes to the Rams second.
At that point, I'm tempted to just say roll with Johnny.

Did you bother to read the question posed by OP?
This is about picking between 3 potentially questionable selections for the 3rd pick. It doesn't matter that you don't think he's a 1st round pick.
You're using HIGH SCHOOL as a reason not to draft him? That's your argument, and you want me to believe I should accept it? You show one flaw in his game but quickly change to his high school performance to knock the selection. He's quick. He's always around the ball, and he shows very good instincts which led to a lot of TFL. He's always using his hands to force fumbles (whether success or not), to disrupt the QB while rushing, and while falling back into coverage where he created a decent number of tipped passes. I think he'd make a decent option. He isn't my idea pick, but that wasn't what the thread it about.

I trade back with someone (Lions) who will pay to move up and get Watkins. This draft has a lot of WRs that would be going in the 1st round in other years but will drop to the 2nd or 3rd this year.
I do think Watkins will be a stud, but I think we can get another really, really good WR along with extra picks if we trade back.

If I got my wish, we'd be able to execute several lucrative trade downs to where we'd still get a quality player with our first selection, but also get a ton of valuable extra picks in the 2nd and 3rd rounds of the 2014 draft. but also possibly some picks in the 2015 draft as well.

The Offense is the worst in the NFL and has been for several years even with one of the best running backs in the league. The team has lost our starting center, our star LT was traded to the ravens. The other star Rookie LT was injured in his first year and had to change roles from Right to Left during the season. Our Left guard has been injured each year. The start WR had nothing but trouble off the field and most likely is banned for life.
The team needs Sammy Watkins, it needs Johnny Football, it needs Jake Matthews but if you can only get one why not make a difference maker on Defense (what Gus is mainly is a defense minded coach)? If clowney is gone and Mack is there you have to draft Mack.

If the Jagaurs were calling you on draft day, it would be to get lunch delivered.

Yeah. Man, why hasn't anyone else wanted that scenario to happen?
