It's a rumor (albeit one that doesn't make sense) per Peter Kings MMQB, so my question, if the Eagles offered Nick Foles and a 2nd round pick to move up from 22 to 3 would you take it?
He debunked the rumor in his own report. They're not trading to get Manziel. If they offered Nick Foles and a 2nd rounder to swap 22 for 3, and the Jaguars get a QB who looked awfully good last year, the Jags would probably entertain it, but it's not going to happen.
These just keep getting worse.
Not a chance. Let's just see how smart the Eagles are for drafting Nick Foles and how wrong jumbo chump Peter King is.
Nobody buys Sports Illustrated. They know nothing about football.

haha Tony Mandrich, he actually played ok in Indianapolis late in his career. This thread has nothing to do with trying to validate this rumor, because no one knows what will happen on May 8th, it's a hypothetical, if the Eagles presented that trade offer would you accept it?

I wouldn't doubt the rumor has legs. (that the Eagles would like to move Foles while he actually has peak value)
Nick Foles is so overrated and even the Eagles know it. But some on the board act like he's as good as his fluke numbers last season.
I wouldn't make that deal and hope Dave wouldn't be that stupid enough to make that deal.

I agree, also, if teams believe Manziel is worth moving up for, the Jaguars would likely take him at 3.

I'd hope so. I'd like Johnny football here.

I'm starting to feel this way as well, I've always been skeptical, but if you take a look at what he did against the level of competition he played against for two years, you have to throw luck/magic out of the equation, he's just an incredibly skilled young man. Michael Vick, RGIII, and Cam Newton were all drafted in the top 3, Johnny (Imo) is a mixture of Newton & RGIII, he’s a more advanced passer at this stage than what both of those QB's were coming out of their respective programs. The ringing endorsements from Steve Young, Jon Gruden, Brett Favre, and the anonymous quotes from NFL personnel men "If I had the first pick in the draft, I'd take Manziel" said an offensive coordinator, those things carry weight Imo, Manziel combined with the creative Jedd Fisch would be an interesting match, that's just the football side of things, Johnny Manziel would do wonders for the business side of things for the Jaguars as well, if he's a truly a franchise QB, he would change the fortunes for this franchise (on and off the field) for the nest 15 years.

I see some (Joe) Montana magic in him.

I agree with what Steve Young said recently, he sees a mixture of Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers. If he can learn to play the game consistenly within the pocket he has a chance to be a dynamic player for many years/
Now I'm really confused. I thought the Jags were idiots for not going 0-16 so they could draft Bridgewater. I mean, he's as good as Manning, Luck, Montana, and several other HOF QBs.

Why do you some of you continue to dwell in the past? I'm assuming you're referring to a TMD statement he made during the season, get over it my friend.

No one is saying they don't want Bridgewater anymore. JUst that Manziel is equally as intriguing as a prospect.
Any way you slice it, its still better finishing with the top draft choice in every round, if you already have a lost season. But keep trying to argue otherwise.

They'll never get over it. Its what they do. They still bring up LeFeavor.

Yep I know, it's just stupid and immature, they can't discuss football without insulting, or bringing up something from the past. It's the classic "I caught you" attitude.

Possibly. I would be okay with him at 3, just not sure the team goes in that direction. I still think it will be Watkins.

I know they aren't carbon copies of each other, but if Gus has say in the next QB, I could easily see Manziel being the Jags pick. I think Gus sees some Russell Wilson in Johnny football.

I love Sammy Watkins, I just have a feeling they're going to take someone at 3 that hasn't been mocked to us a 1,000,000 times already.
