Quote:Swaguars, youtube search Manziel Pocket Highlights, and Teddys system is more prove to big numbers than Johnnys. Teddy had good TD:INT ratios because he was reluctant to throw down the field (Alex Smith, Gabbert)

I've watched almost every snap Manziel has taken, highlight videos are not good evaluating tools, go look at Matt Scotts highlight video he looks like a 1st rounder.

Count the number of personnel Texas A&M uses to pass protect. Five.

No running backs held back. No tight ends held back.
That doesn't change the fact that he didn't anticipate the WR he was staring right would come open behind the curl.

And? If he throws that ball when he is supposed to, he would have been fine

I'm a fan of manziel but he has never stepped up in the pocket Bridgewater is the guy and could see a collaboration between him and the jags for his stock to drop on purpose to get him to fall to 3 he is from Florida and Caldwell will not be drafting a qb from a spread system

All indicators suggest he's going to fall farther than 3.

Bridgewater's stock is not in the top 3 right now, so I guess the mission is accomplished?
Manziel is nothing without his mobility, and if he can't take off and run he wont be succesful, and if he does do that he will be injured..

Lose lose situations imo.

The same thing could be said for a lot of QBs currently starting in the league.  That's the downfall of a mobile QB.  Eventually they have to become pocket passers, and I'm not sure Manziel can do that.  He'd be fun to watch...until he couldn't run.
Manziel isnt as bad of a passer as some of you think. He can make all the throws from the pocket. In college he didnt want to do the safe thing and tried for the incredible too often. IMO I think he realizes he cant get away with it AS MUCH in the nfl, but will still do some. With good coaching and some time Manziel can be very good.
