Quote:I just noticed the trashiness of the Eagles fans that showed up at Everbank
Colts fans are polite and nerdy
Steelers fans are annoying
Bears fans are just like the guys from SNL
Browns fans are weird, bark at random moments
Well, all you need to know about Eagles fans can be learned from the barstool diva. He's their poster child. They're constantly complaining, angry, whining fans. They bow up and think very highly of themselves, and they usually wind up disappointed with their team, and more importantly, their lives.
Colts fans are extremely nerdy.
Miami fans are non-existent.
Same with Tampa fans.
Atlanta fans were extremely friendly.
St. Louis fans are an interesting lot. I was in Fenton, MO doing training for a job. I got tickets from one of the guys I was working with to attend a preseason game. In talking to the fans there, most of them couldn't have cared less about the Rams (this is 2 years ago). They're rabid Cardinal fans. If the Rams left tomorrow, they'd barely notice. They were extremely friendly, particularly because at the time, Gabbert was still fairly popular in the area, so they were asking me a lot of questions about him.
Panther fans are a lot like Jaguar fans. I've made the trek up there for a preseason game. I've got good friends in Charlotte. They love their team, but they also struggle to fill seats. I love the city, and I've been up there several times for work. I haven't had an opportunity to go to a game in several years there, but I'm sure the dynamic is much different with Newton there, and the team starting to enjoy some success.

Have you ever been to a Jags home game? You've seen the security there, right? The little old lady protecting our section is better suited to knit you a sweater. Now, that could come in handy if we're trying to camouflage the people who shouldn't be in the pool. Maybe she could knit some sweaters with the model bodies!
Quote:I love how you think you've caught someone in a lie.
Tell us again about that national talk show you hosted?
I hate to upset your little fantasy here, but I never said it was a Jags game I had traveled there for, although I have been to enough stadiums to know who the hostile fans are.
I was in Philly in August of 1999 to be the best man for a buddy of mine. While I was up there, he got tickets to see the Ravens play a preseason tilt on a Thursday night. I figured it was an NFL game, so why not?
I'd heard all the horror stories about Veterans Stadium, and was fully prepared for the abuse. I wasn't going to go buy other gear or go undercover. Most of the stuff I had with me was Jag logo'd, so I went to the game wearing my Jags gear. I got plenty of ribbing, but the Jags were coming off a good season, and the few fans that were there weren't really paying much attention to me. I got more grief from my friend, who is an Eagles fan, than I did from anyone else.
Now, tell us all the stadiums you've seen the Jags play in again?
Oh, so you wore your Jag gear to a PRE SEASON game in which the Jags weren't even a participant in....woah, man....you're one daredevil aren't ya??....
.gif)
I'd doubt you got any ribbing at all (other than from your friend as you stated), as unless you were wearing Raven's gear, (or gear from a division rival)- and even then, pre-season games don't get the same level of trash/ rowdiness that the regular season games do. Not even close.
I've seen the Jags play in 3 stadiums. In Jersey vs the Jets, in Baltimore vs the Ravens and in Philly.
Flex scheduling for SNF to now start week 5. Wow.
Maybe we can "flex" our way into one of those games.

You really have a high impression of your masculinity, don't you glitter boy?
The fact remains, I went to a game in Philly wearing Jaguars gear. You said I wouldn't be "man enough" to do so, and you were basically proven wrong, so in typical fashion, you dance around it.
How many games have you seen in Everbank? Clearly, you're not man enough to actually attend a game at the home stadium for a team you claim to be a fan of. There are many who trek far greater distances more consistently to see their team play. You're too busy hiding out in your mommy's basement telling everyone how smart you are (because nobody is actually telling you this), and trying to show the world you're a better fan than anyone else. The reality is, you're a pathetic Eagle fan who posts here because you get more attention on this board. You've probably been laughed off any Eagle site because of your love of glitter, and discussions about fashion choices.

The context in which I was speaking was a Jags/ Eagles game in Philly, and you know it. You'd never attend one of those in your Jags gear. Fear. I did attend one of the games in the direct context I was speaking of, and wore my gear. And cheered my Jags on. No fear.
The amount of games I have seen at Everbank is irrelevant. If you want to foot the travel bill or give me room and board for a game, I 'll be glad to show up. I don't have the excess cash at the moment to make the journey. LOL @ you though for trying to twist it around like its tough to attend HOME games in your gear, lol.

Once again, you know nothing about me. And honestly, I doubt you actually wore Jags gear since you're not really a Jags fan. This is just you bellowing on trying to blow yourself up as some superfan when everyone here knows your spine is willowy, and your stones are more like grains of sand.
If you're not man enough to save up a few bucks to make a road trip, don't expect someone to foot the bill for you. The fact that you're asking is just another indication of how pathetic your life actually is. Never twisted anyting. I never said it was tough to attend home games in Jag gear. I simply stated you'd never make any effort to actually attend a home Jaguars game because you're not a Jaguars fan. Maybe you can get mommy to lend you a few bucks one day to make the trek if Philly is playing here.

I know nothing about you? Anyone who would post another's PM's for public reading is pretty low on the character/ ethics scale, so...I'd say I have an idea. The rest of your post there reaks of projection. Label me "not a Jags fan" all you want. Its ridiculous. I attend the Jags games around here when they play closer to my local area, because I have the means to go to those. Since I'm not able to attend home games in Jax, I watch every Sunday on TV and cheer them on. Thats all that can be asked as a fan.

Anyone who would admit to having a schtick where they act one way in PMs, but the exact opposite when they're trying to puff up their persona on the board is pretty low character.
Please, save your psychological analysis for the mirror.
You're not a Jaguars fan. That's not projection. Simply fact. You just like the attention you get here because in the end, that's what you really crave. Even your high school psych class should give you enough information to recognize this.
So, are you guys just going to slap fight for the rest of this thread, or can we actually discuss the topic?
I see the Jags getting a primetime game other than Thursday. We're gettings tons of positive publicity, the media loves Bradley, and if we land Clowney/Watkins/Manziel/Mack we should be much improved, however you slice it (although probably not immediately if Manziel is the pick, it'll definitely garner some attention).
It's a good time to be a Jags fan.

I hate that! They have a game set for Sunday afternoon that I'm looking forward to then they move it to the late night slot.
SNF doesn't finish until 4am :/

Its really irrelevant what I wrote - for you to leak PM's is unethical and shows lack of character.
I've stated on many occasions that what I meant by the term "schtick" in that post and how you took that as are 2 different things. I never meant it to mean I didn't give honest takes on my debating on here. I just meant it to mean despite my gruff personality on here, and our tense football debates, I didn't hold any grudges and that I was a good guy. I've been known to not be the best wordsworth before and sometimes mis-use terms, but you jumped all over that term because you felt you could use it to your advantage against me, plain & simple. Thats called being an opportunist.
I'm just as big a Jaguars fan as anyone on here. I go to games to see them, I purchase merchandise, and root them on every Sunday and go to work upset Monday when they lose, and happy when they win. (2011, 2013 season draft circumstances aside)... Most people on this board know I'm a Jags fan regardless of what you think, so it really doesn't matter, anyway.

I dunno..... 4-12 teams generally don't get many/ any Sunday or Monday night primetime games the following year, unless said season is universally looked at as a fluke, such as the Colts 2011 season....
I'm thinking maybe in 2015 if we can show enough improvement we'll get a few.
We should get one Thursday nighter, though in 2014.

I like the flexing games. You are guarranteed a good matchup.

So you're okay with being a two-faced hack. Gotcha.
Nobody needs to be an opportunist where you're concerned. It's a never ending supply.

I said something similar to this earlier in this thread. The team is getting more attention in the media, and it's been postive for the most part. I think the networks will take note of the rising star, and if there's a good matchup they can exploit for ratings in prime time, they will do so.
There could be MNF in there. You never know.
Quote:There could be MNF in there. You never know.
Its possible, but if you look at our last several seasons, where we've been consistently lousy, the following year we've been getting Thursday night and thats it.
However, in the event that we overachieve in 2014, and somehow are leading the division or what-not, then there could be a small chance of a flexed game to Sunday night later in the season.
Wish for the best, but prepare for the worst.. Softens the disappointment..
