- Just over 6 foot 1. Similar to Wilson/Brees in his measurables .

- We have 11 picks. Two 4ths and three 5ths. Right where Murray is projected to be drafted. Allows the Jags to fill other needs before he's off the board.

- Georgia boy. Caldwell came from Atlanta where he's been privy to Aaron's play.

- Competitive drive. Coming back from an ACL and being determined to make an NFL career is something Gus has gone on record saying he admires.

- Strong arm, ice in his veins, no fear of pressure, stands in the pocket strongly.

- Gus was the only HC at his pro day.

- He can scramble. Not to the extent of Manziel but effectively enough like Brees can cause a defense hassle.

- He will be able to sit and learn. We don't have to throw him into the fire. Caldwell says a lot of rookies had to start and this year will be different. Perfect for Murray coming off an injury.

- #11. It's a sign. We got rid of Gabbert to give Murray his college number. Haha.

In what world is Murray over 6'1"?

Idk. Planet Manziel.
I agree i think Murray is the guy also
He's not "the" guy for anyone.

He might be "a" guy, not "the guy"

I think he's ONE of the guys. He'll be the 2nd QB taken by the Jags.

Or he's the first and a guy like Shaw in the 6th or 7th is the second.

I like Murray and Shaw could be a nice developmental prospect but I'll be pretty disappointed if they are who we're counting on as a franchise QB.

I'll be very happy with this if this indeed does happen.

A Bridgewater/ Manziel first QB and Murray 2nd QB would be a great scenario for us.

I would be a bit surprised if we grabbed a QB in the 2nd and again in the 4th with so many needs.

Yes we do.....and QB is one of them, and one need that we can't afford to keep missing on. Bringing in 2 QB helps minimize that risk as its likely that at least one of the QB we'd bring in would pan out (hopefully both). We have a lot of picks now, and could even gain some more by draft day. The people that don't want to spend 2 picks on QB are being short sighted. Even if the first one picked does pan out, its still also good to have a developmental QB on the roster that could potentially be parlayed for a windfall in the futre, just like Rob Johnson.

I get what you're saying but the resigning of Henne and bringing in whoever we draft, the likeliness that our 3rd drafted QB sees the field is nearly obsolete so might as well spend your higher value picks elsewhere.

I think you're missing the point of a developmental QB prospect.

i dont think we have to grab 2 this year, 1 this year and 1 next year fpr me unless we get another with great value

No, I do get it. I just mean take a guy like Logan Thomas as that kind of guy late in the draft. Use your higher picks on players who can make a more immediate impact.

I dont think u take a qb in the 2nd just because u need one. You have to wait and see whos there
Not saying I don't want to...but I don't think Dave will be taking two QBs period.

Ewwwwwwwww... One maxed-out, limited QB is bad enough, but you want to get two of them?
If you want a good career backup, yea he would be a nice pick, if you want a franchise QB then no
