Love the guy Gus. He didn't work out as a HC, but you can't deny that the guy is hard to not cheer for.

The only reason people would tell me to shut up is to make me mad on purpose because he knows how. If people just want to not read my posts, they can simply use the ignore feature, which I have been using for a long time.

Gus maybe a good defensive coordinator but sucks as a head coach.  Good guy but good riddance

I'm sure there are other reasons to tell you to shut up other than making you mad.

Gus deserves all the criticism he received as a head coach. The record speaks for itself. I would never feel sorry for him, because there is no doubt he will land on his feet. His positive approach to life and energy level is something I will always admire. 

I seem to be in the minority, but I don't care how sorry he is.  He didn't get the job done, and he has embarrassed our city and team even more than when he signed on.  Our roster is a 100% better than when he received it, yet he still loses the same amount of games every year.  Good bye.

Are you going to give out warnings now? You sound like you're trying to pretend you're a mod again..

The Jags brass/decision makers let Gus "twist in the wind" way way longer then he should have. They had plenty of other opportunities to relieve him of his coaching duties in the past and just didn't do it, for whatever reason, loyalty, patience, just to hard to fire a really nice guy, only they really know.

 

Well, it's done now and it's time, well, past time really, to move forward into the next chapter of Jaguars history. Hopefully it will be a heckuva lot better then the last dreadful chapter.

 

I still have a hard time believing the Jags went 14-48 with Gus as HC. Just unbelievable if you really think about it.
