I'm not a huge wrestling fan anymore but I was pretty shocked that he lost.

Wow, the whole crowd is stunned. I am too.
Yeah, the fact it was to a part timer that really doesn't feel the same about the business itself like a lot of the other wrestlers kind of boggles my mind.
Meh. Taker was gassed bad in that match. They both were. No matter how much you try to condition it just seems like nothing prepares you for those long matches like grinding it out week in and week out. Yea it bites cause you want to see Taker go 25-0 and retire but you could tell he's gotten old and out of it. It was a bad match imo and an even worse way to end the streak. But it is what it is.

rumor has he's officially retiring

I assumed as much. No other reason for him to lose.
Maybe the script writers could provide some insight.
A Goat like taker loosing to Brock?! This that crap Cm punk was talking bout smh....

So he lost cause he was gassed?
I am sure ol Hacker will have a melt down on radio about this when their show is on.

No I was just commenting on it because it was glaringly obvious. He lost because the powers that be made it so before hand. Though I wonder if it was originally intended for him to win. Rumors go that he had a concussion and had to go to the hospital immediately afterwards.

Isn't Undertaker a part timer too?  Saying he lost to a part timer when he is a part timer kind of makes sense.  Wrestlers pass the torch in a way, so I'm sure that is what this is.
I'm not mad about this at all. It makes sense to me. An aging Undertaker just couldn't handle the physicality of a guy like Brock Lesnar. Dude's one of the most physical guys in the history of the company.

I think Taker was meant to win but something changed during the match. I mean everyone was shocked, fans, announcers, even the Paulrus and Brock were in shock. I think Taker was injured during the match and that is why he lost. That or he is retiring and no one ever retires and wins their last match. Well except for Edge.

Edge was still pretty young when he was forced to retire though. But you are right about no one ever winning their last match before retirement, especially older guys. Flair, Michaels and now Taker are in that category if this is indeed his last match.

With Edge, it wasn't until after Mania that he discovered he had to retire. That is the only reason he went out on a win.

Even if he was injured during the match, they aren't going to completely change the direction like that, especially a match that has as much significance as The Streak.  If he was injured to the point where the match needed to end, Brock would have just tapped to Hell's Gate.  Fans and announcers were shocked because literally no one thought Brock would win.  Heyman was shocked because he's phenomenal at what he does.  Brock was shocked because he's pretty much shocked at everything.

I think Taker just decided he couldn't go on anymore.  At least this should put to bed the talk of Taker-Sting at WM next year.
I agree that Heyman is the best when it comes to selling. I am just bummed he had to drop the streak to Brock. I was hoping it would at least be to a full timer.

I hope Brock doesn't disappear now because this is huge.

He isn't going to be a full timer, that is for sure.
