Here is the top 10 of the lastest mock I just did. I think I like this scenario best so far.
Tampa is desperate for a WR after releasing Mike Williams, and they were already said to be in love with Watkins. No way he lasts until #7. So they trade with us.
1. HOU - DE J. Clowney
2. CLE - QB B. Bortles (from STL for a 2nd and 3rd round pick)
3. TAM - WR S. Watkins (from JAC for Tampa's 2nd round pick)
4. STL - OT G. Robinson
5. OAK - WR M. Evans
6. ATL - LB K. Mack
7. JAC - QB J. Manziel (Mack, Bortles, Evans and Watkins off the board. Caldwell pulls the trigger on Manziel)
8. MIN - QB D. Carr
9. BUF - OT J. Matthews
10. DET - CB J. Gilbert
* After CLE, JAC and MIN all get their QB's in round 1, Bridgewater falls to 2nd round, and Houston takes him at #33.
Jaguars round 2 picks:
39. WR A. Robinson
40. OT D. Yankey or OLB K. Van Noy
Manziel had an impressive Pro Day, and before that this was said:
NFL Media analyst Charles Davis believes Manziel's pocket presence makes him the best fit for the QB-needy Jaguars, citing the abundance of top pass rushers in the AFC South such as Robert Mathis of Indianapolis and J.J. Watt of Houston. Davis described Manziel as having not only a sixth sense in the pocket, "but a seventh and an eighth." The Jaguars were certainly impressed with Manziel at the NFL Scouting Combine, where
he aced his interview with GM David Caldwell

Quote:The Jaguars were certainly impressed with Manziel at the NFL Scouting Combine, whereHow does anyone know this? Certainly the Jaguars won't be publishing that info, which would mean that it either came from Manziel's camp (and is therefore BS) or originated in the media (and is either BS or uninformed).

And, yes, I'd be saying the same thing if that sentence was about Bridgewater, Bortles or Carr.
