No worries. Just draft Manziel and have him flee the pocket every play
It is definitely not receiver.

Including QB, DE and Oline then CB
After signing Clemons Leo isnt the biggest immediate need anymore. C and RG are much weaker spots atm.
Quote:Pass rusher then interior o-line. Think both will be addressed in the draft.

I think it still is.  You can't have too many pass rushers. There's no guarantee Clemons will produce and his best seasons are likely behind him.  Also - Bradley's D scheme predicates getting pressure from a four man rush - and that's going to require constant rotation.

Interior O- line is probably of equal importance though.

#1 WR would make Cecil and Ace a lot more effective.
1)OLB - Even with what we have on the team we need a hybrid like MACK- that can play the traditional OLB position as well as put his hand down off the edge.

2)C/OG - Probably BIGGEST need, Bradfield can play guard too. Rackley has started at G and has been listed at C as well. A few folks have mentioned Brewster, but he got abused last year at Guard and Meester still held down the C position over the younger Brewster.

4)FS - Need a ball hawk here.

5)TE - Need a true pass catcher here.

3)WR - Need a play maker here.

Who has time for these trivial details?

OK how many DE do you want. Right now DE is a strong point in this team. Unless its Clowney or Ford in the second forget it.

OL by a million miles!

I agree totally on this post.

To be fair you can never have too many DE's.

I still stick to receiver being the worst area on the team.  It does no good to have a good offensive line if there is no receiver to stretch the field.  Teams will continue playing 8 in the box and shut down our short passing game.  We need playmakers on the outside.  Shorts is a decent receiver but far from a playmaker.

It is not a strong point.  Not at all. Last in the league in sacks doesn't just get all fixed up by signing an aging pass rusher coming off of knee surgery.  They need a rotation of guys that can get to the QB - and at least one of them needs to be under 30 and not named Branch.
1. OL

2. OL

3. DE

That said, in regards to this years draft, if Clowney is there at #3, take him.

Because Clemons is guaranteed to play well? It is and always will be pass rush until we get out of the basement. Our needs from top to bottom are:

1. QB

2. Pass Rush

3. Secondary

Maybe. I see a need (demand) and the historical supply, you can plug and play centers (why so many good ones are still on the market) and wide receivers. Gamw changing DEs don't come around every day.

My vote is not specifically a DE but a pass rusher.

Interior Oline

Regarding the above, you can plug WRs but you cannot plug #1 WRs which is in low supply.  Sammy Watkins would fill that need.  If not Sammy, your pass rusher (Clowney or Mack) would fill the need for a game changing pass rusher
Quote:I'm thinking WR.  I am not even counting on blackmon this year and if you take him out of the equation we have a very weak wr group.  Shorts always seems to come up short.  Sanders is a good lateral player but not a good receiver yet.  We need help in this area badly.
I agree that WR is weaker than most teams but I think Cecil Shorts, Ace Sanders, Mike Brown / Doss and Justin Blackmon are decent enough to not be a glaring issuse.

I would be more concerned with Center, FS, CB, OLB, LT (in case Luke isnt a 100% and for depth a guy that could play Guard too if drafted in round 3).

Of course QB is an issuse that to me is pressing....

I didnt mention Leo DE because I know Dave is going to draft Clowney!
Wide Receiver is the position they need the most because they dont know what state of mind Justin Blackmon will be in . and they need a shut down Corner just as bad..
