So if Bridgewater is picked in the Top 5, this guy loses all credibility.

If only...
Quote:For once could you guys maybe form your own opinion..?

Some of us do, even against all the pleading to join the bandwagon.

I don't think he or any of the QBs are worth taking in the top 10.
Middlekauf is the same guy that said December that Bridgewater might stay in school. He didn't.

Middlekauf also is the guy that put McCarron skipped the Senior Bowl because he thought he'd be a top 20 pick. He denies it.

Middlekauf sounds more like a guy wanted to stay relevant by throwing poop on a wall and hoping it sticks.

Been saying this for a while, well before any of these "reports" came out.....
Quote:Here comes the Bridgewater brigade. "This scout doesn't view him as the best so he clearly has no clue what he's talking about."

Lol, you're right.  After reading about his pro day today, that scout may not have been wrong.
This Pro Day should not affect anyone's opinion on him.

It has an indirect effect. Because he struggled a bit teams now go back and review his game tape even more in depth.

Your pro day should correlate and confirm what you've done this past season. Especially considering how scripted it is. When it doesn't it raises a red flag.
Quote:There are several people on this board who could have done a better job than Gene Smith.
Bingo. A lot of people on here backed Gene Smith for his awful awful picks. "Punter to help flip the field"... "I trust that Gene knows what he's doing."

A lot of sheep following the herd.

McShay said Matt Ryan had a bad pro day.

A bad pro day doesn't automatically disqualify you. But it does teams look a bit harder.

When they review his tape they will see a lot of his passes are to wide open guys. Yes he makes the right read, but he really didn't have to put the ball in tight spaces on a consistent basis, and with his arm strength (or lack there off) this could prove to be difficult to do in the NFL.

Like I have said before he played for the "ALABAMA" of his conference. Compared to other teams in his conference his was stacked with talent so to speak.

I think it may cause some in the media to do so.

It probably doesn't. I'm thinking at this point it sounds like GMs could see this draft as closer to the draft of 2013 than the draft of 2012.

DId he?

What? In terms of QB's or overall? Because overall depth-wise it is widely regarded as the best in years.
i think today showed why he didnt throw at the combine

True.

Those who are infatuated with him are in denial and are sweeping it under the rug.

Those who doubt him aren't surprised.

Neither will be changing their minds.

Seems deep in questionable talents. Sort of like 2011. It may not be like 2013 where the first guy is taken halfway through the first round, but I imagine there's a lot of nervous GMs over this group. There's a good chance a QB comes out of the group to be successful, but it's really hard to make the call on who it will be right now.

That is not what he said.  The ability to read and form an opinion with information is a basic task.

Luck was widely accepted as the best QB worthy of pick one consideration.  With bridgewater, there are many people who do not think he is top 5, including me and the author of that piece.

Do you get it now?
