Ok, well the way I look at it is that these coaches who coach in these conferences represent a business. Do you think Mike Slive wants Nick Saban saying the SEC sucks? Do you think John Swofford wants Jimbo Fisher saying "oh well I think this conference sucks and FSU and Clemson are the only ones who care about football"? No. It's a requirement more or less to talk good about the conference, or they're gonna hear about it from their AD and probably someone from the commissioner's office. They're tied to the conference.

 

Would you want your employees talking crap about your business? I would assume not. 

 

I'm not tied to the ACC. That's why I have the opinion I do on conference pride.


If you don't think it makes sense, that's ok. That's just how I see it.

Exactly. It's an opinion. It's the way you see it. Why then is there such backlash when people think about it a different way?
