As we know he was universally seen as the biggest combine snub but has always had a real nice twitter draftnik fanbase, including myself. I've said he comps to a small school and less proven...but bigger, stronger, more controlled Manziel and will hopefully be available in the 3rd or 4th round. As I've also said he and Logan Thomas are the only two QBs after the top 4 that have legit QB purgatory busting potential (but Logan is still a tiny chance of that happening). Would rather have him than Fales, Garoppolo, Murray, etc easily.
There were 20 teams in attendance hopefully the Jags were one of them!

Brett Smith ran a 4.45 today at Wyoming pro day, to refresh everyone's memory, the best qb at combine was Shaw at 4.55

I really want to draft him. I was there with you KY about Smith. I think he would be a great pick up. Guy has an arm and he seems to play smart.

No, definitely not over Teddy (yes over Manziel especially considering the price difference). I want QB at 3, but if not then I want Smith in the 3rd or 4th.

He is going in the 2nd round and at the very latest the 3rd. Maybe we are targeting him for the 2nd round ....who knows

I still think Manziel and Teddy have a better chance of making it, but if this were draft where there was more talent at the top they wouldn't even be top 10 picks IMO let alone top 5.

ANYWAY, back to the topic. I really like Brett Smith. After his pro day showing which some of us already knew he was pretty good, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see him go in the 2nd round. Guy has the size, the arm, and the speed....

I have not seen him play, but getting snubbed from the combine usually doesn't translate into a 2nd or 3rd round guy.

You might be right, but it also works both ways. Roughly one-third of the players who are invited to the combine aren't even drafted.
I'd still like him as our 2nd QB taken if we take 2.

I am actually a big Brett Smith guy, if we don't go Bridgewater I would rather pick Smith up in the 2-3rd round
Let's not get ahead of ourselves here folks. Back the truck up just a bit. This kid played in the almost FCS MWC and he sucked. He isn't even good enough to get a combine invite. I see him being an UDFA. Pass on Brett Smith.
