What if the guy has a black mother a white father?

At which shade of white does he become undraftable.

This is getting a bit ridiculous, but yes, if he was bi-racial, I would draft him. Bi-racial RB's have proven successful in the NFL. I don't know why caucasian RB's haven't been successful in the NFL, but they haven't and until they do, I won't draft them.

Yes this is getting a bit ridiculous. What if he was an albino black person ? Is he draftable?
Quote:Alstott was a good runner, but as you said, he was a FB. It's a different type of position.

I personally, would like an in between the tackles type of runner who can move the chains, but has the added element of that 2nd gear to break free in the open field and rip off a long run. I see a few RB's in this draft with that quality. I just don't want to waste a pick on an "experiment" like McCaffrey, when we may be able to find an Adrian Peterson or DeMarco Murray type runner.
As I indicated in another response, I think had you put Alstott in a 1 back offense full time like Riggins, he would have had similar success.  Perhaps not over a prolonged period like Riggins.  You can't count on RBs staying healthy for 11+ seasons.  But I think Alstott would have been a viable RB in a Gibbs type scheme , or as a full time runner in a power based scheme.
Quote:If the draft fell like this. how would your draft look?

https://walterfootball.com/draft2017.php

1. Jonathan Allen, DE

2. Christian McCaffery, RB

2. Trade 3rd and 5th and round pick to move back in to the bottom of the 2nd and take Pat Elflein, C

4. Dan Skipper, OT

6. Rasul Douglas, CB

7. Freddie Stevenson, FB

This would be a dream draft for me
Love the draft but why would we need a C? Are we moving him to G or moving Linder back to G? Linder has been very good all year. I wouldnt trade up for a G

Elflein can play OG or Center. So can Linder. Having he and Linder on the same team would be great, because not only would it upgrade the interior right away, but it would give us much needed depth at Center, in case one of those guys got injured. To me, it would be ideal to draft a guy who can be an immediate position player, but provide depth at another spot as well.

No. Albino people are born with a condition of the eyes which impairs their vision quite a bit. Many are legally blind. I doubt they could even pass an NFL physical, because of the impairment. No more hypothetical questions.

Elflein can play both, he played G last year.   This year he won the Rimington Trophy, the award given to the best center in college so what ever the coaches felt would be the best im good with.  We traded up for Linder, how did that work?
I like the Allen and Douglas picks. I'm not a fan of McCaCaffery, it has nothing to do with his race, more with measurables. They list him at 6' 200lbs, so he's probably 5'10" 185-190. Unless he has Chris Johnson speed, I'm not drafting a RB that size that high. He could bulk up, but then he will most likely lose speed/explosiveness, the way D. Rob did. He seems to have some return and receiving skills, so maybe I try to make him a slot receiver/returner. In that case, he is a Rashad Greene type player, so 5th round project.

What about an Arab or Indian/Pakistani or maybe a Pacific Islander?

Quote:Hypothetical: A white running back who is 6'0 225 , runs a 4.3 with a 40" vert. Plays for Ohio State and runs for 2,500 yards in a season and scores 30 TDs.

Would you draft him?

bottom of 2nd. top of 3rd.

Not all of them.
You know what is the most depressing thing about WF? Last year's 2017 mock had us picking in top 5 and I thought the guy was absolutely crazy because I slightly bought into the media hype of this team making some noise. The fact he has us picking so high again in 2018 kind of scares me.

This guy really planted his flag on the white running back hill and is still posting all over te board like a junior scout this is too funny
Can we stop disrespecting danny woodhead when talking about white rbs btw cause hes been excellent for most of his career, one of the better receiving backs of our era.
